An optimization model for multi-source pumping tree-type pipe network is established, in which the investment and operating cost are considered simultaneously. Useing graph theory knowledge, the essence of pipe layout optimization for multi-sources tree-type pipe network is searching for a group of optimal subtrees. In the complete optimization of pipe network, the pipe layout mode and pipe diameter are needed to optimize simultaneously, so the dual coding genetic algorithm combining binary coding with integer coding is adopted, and the pipe diameter restriction is satisfied automatically. According to the tree character, method based on cycle is adopted in the operational process of binary coding, the partheno-genetic operation is designed to produce new individual, the infeasible solutions are avoided. Example shows the efficiency of the algorithm.

AbstractWith the optimal operating cost and optimal carbon emission target of the chemical logistics companies, a low-carbon routing optimisation with a multi-energy type vehicle combined problem is proposed by considering the concept of the logistics companies’ low-carbon behaviour. An integrated decision-making of multi-energy type vehicles combined strategy and route optimisation based on customer demand is presented, and an improved genetic algorithm is designed. A case study is then applied based on the data collected from the case research. The effectiveness of the improved genetic algorithm is tested. The two joint objectives of operating cost and carbon emission are examined through the cost analysis of environmental energy vehicles and traditional energy vehicles in different combination scenarios. The case analysis shows that a rational multi-energy type vehicle combination with route optimisation has a significant correlation with the operating cost and carbon emissions, while the environmental vehicle purchasing cost reduction and subsidy policy affect the operating cost.

In laser processing, optimizing the shortest process time is not equal to optimizing the shortest path, and the spare travel time decided the process time. In this paper, an optimization model for contour path in laser processing is established, in which the minimal spare travel time is taken as objective function, and the improved genetic algorithm is designed to optimize the model. In the optimization of contour path, the processing sequence of loops and starting point in each loop are needed to optimize simultaneously, so the dual integer coding is adopted in the improved genetic algorithm. In the algorithm operational process, the methods of initial solution creating, crossover and mutation that suit with the problem are designed, and the infeasible solutions are avoided. The computing method of fitness value is adjusted, and the improved genetic algorithm takes on some self adapting capability. So the computational efficiency of the method is enhanced.
