At the moment preventive maintenance is the main approach in maintaining power transmitting lines. While along with the improvement of equipment and management, the drawbacks of preventive maintenance appear more and more prominent. In the file the function and the structure of the system of status maintenance for power transmitting lines based on expert system is presented.

The condition-based maintenance (CBM) is an advanced maintenance program that recommends optimal maintenance policy based on information collected through condition monitoring techniques. At present, CBM was paid attention to widely. The paper theoretically discussed the structure of a complete CBM system based upon the combing and analysis of the current large numbers of literatures of CBM. Firstly, CBM is introduced. Secondly, the three main stages of CBM work process is given. Finally, the basic structural frame of a complete CBM system is designed and constructed according to a series of functions CBM system should implement.

The distribution production management system under “centralized maintenance” mode in State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC) is studied in this paper. The production management organization and managerial responsibilities under “centralized maintenance” system were firstly introduced. Further, two core production businesses, rush repair and condition-based maintenance (CBM), were analyzed at length, respectively. And the economic and social benefits brought by distribution production management system in “centralized maintenance” mode were illustrated by combining with relevant examples.
