However, Scripture indicates that generational discipleship, the passing of faith from one generation to another, is the normative practice of a community of faith, which requires the interaction and engagement of multiple generations. Intercessory prayer has been shown to have positive effects on a variety of social relationships and is a spiritual discipline available to all, regardless of age or spiritual maturity. This article explores the possibility of intercessory prayer being used as a vehicle to connect generations and create space for increased generational interactions within a local church context.
