In this paper, we present an efficient method for finding a numerical solution for nonlinear complementarity problems (NCPs). We first reformulate an NCP as an equivalent system of fixed-point equations and then present a modulus-based matrix splitting iteration method. We prove the convergence of the proposed method with theorems with the relevant conditions. Our preliminary numerical results show that the method is feasible and effective.

This paper presents a path-following full-Newton step interior-point algorithm for solving monotone linear complementarity problems. Under new choices of the defaults of the updating barrier parameter [Formula: see text] and the threshold [Formula: see text] which defines the size of the neighborhood of the central-path, we show that the short-step algorithm has the best-known polynomial complexity, namely, [Formula: see text]. Finally, some numerical results are reported to show the efficiency of our algorithm.

AbstractIn this paper, we study a new generalization of the Lorentz cone $$\mathcal{L}^n_+$$ L + n , called the monotone extended second-order cone (MESOC). We investigate basic properties of MESOC including computation of its Lyapunov rank and proving its reducibility. Moreover, we show that in an ambient space, a cylinder is an isotonic projection set with respect to MESOC. We also examine a nonlinear complementarity problem on a cylinder, which is equivalent to a suitable mixed complementarity problem, and provide a computational example illustrating applicability of MESOC.
