Monarchs and Queers

This chapter emerges from the reflections of a longtime organizer with several autonomous collectives. The author shares two letters he wrote to would-be allies; one that asked them for money in order to get his father back from Mexico, and a second that thanks those who supported his efforts. Each of these letters critique family separations and the politics of solidarity and “help.”
