In order to implement information management precisely during the whole life cycle of drawings, a method of insertion barcodes in DWG files based on ActiveX Automation technology is proposed. The AcadDocument, AcadPolyline and AcadGroups objects of AutoCAD ActiveX Automation are used in the method to realize insertion of barcodes in DWG files interactively or automatically, and drawing versions are marked by the newest date of insertion of barcodes, then the DWG files are automatically converted to DWF files for browsing, checking and reviewing on Internet/Intranet. The proposed method has been applied to the developed document management system, operation results of the system show that the method is stable and effective.

This paper studies a new approach to developing AutoCAD in MFC with ActiveX Automation technology. It successfully solved the problem that development visions of Object ARX are not correspondent. It analyzed the application of dispatch interface in IDispatch technology and VARIANT type data in depth. In addition, it gave out practical cases in which this approach is used and particularly discussed the method for using blocks and searching through diagram objects. This designing realized the automatic designing of engineering drawing and automatic extracting of information.

For the complexity of power supply system design and calculation process in mine, a visual approach is presented.The integrated program with power mapping, analysis alculation and document management platform, the advanced visual programming technology, activex automation technology, object-oriented design methods are used with the secondary development using its built-in vba on the autocad platform.The entire system is divide into drawing and design calculation and output module with modular theory, the database is used as core for combining into a unified and organic whole by associating primitive objects and data. Studies show that the method can quickly and accurately complete the power supply design, it is important for power supply safety in mine.
