We study the character theory of inductive limits of [Formula: see text]-deformed classical compact groups. In particular, we clarify the relationship between the representation theory of Drinfeld–Jimbo quantized universal enveloping algebras and our previous work on the quantized characters. We also apply the character theory to construct Markov semigroups on unitary duals of [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text], and their inductive limits.

We study the interaction between the block decompositions of reduced enveloping algebras in positive characteristic, the Poincaré-Birkhoff-Witt (PBW) filtration, and the nilpotent cone. We provide two natural versions of the PBW filtration on the block subalgebra [Formula: see text] of the restricted universal enveloping algebra [Formula: see text] and show these are dual to each other. We also consider a shifted PBW filtration for which we relate the associated graded algebra to the algebra of functions on the Frobenius neighborhood of [Formula: see text] in the nilpotent cone and the coinvariants algebra corresponding to [Formula: see text]. In the case of [Formula: see text] in characteristic [Formula: see text] we determine the associated graded algebras of these filtrations on block subalgebras of [Formula: see text]. We also apply this to determine the structure of the adjoint representation of [Formula: see text].

Nichols algebras are fundamental objects in the construction of quantized enveloping algebras and in the classification of pointed Hopf algebras by the lifting method of Andruskiewitsch and Schneider. The structure of Cartan graphs can be attached to any Nichols algebras of diagonal type and plays an important role in the classification of Nichols algebras of diagonal type with a finite root system. In this paper, the main properties of all simply connected Cartan graphs attached to rank 6 Nichols algebras of diagonal type are determined. As an application, we obtain a subclass of rank 6 finite dimensional Nichols algebras of diagonal type.

In the present paper, we introduce S-evolution algebras and investigate their solvability, simplicity, and semisimplicity. The structure of enveloping algebras has been carried out through the attached graph of S-evolution algebras. Moreover, we introduce the concept of E-linear derivation of S-evolution algebras, and prove such derivations can be extended to their enveloping algebras under certain conditions.

AbstractWe relate quantum degree cones, parametrizing PBW degenerations of quantized enveloping algebras, to (negative tight monomial) cones introduced by Lusztig in the study of monomials in canonical bases, to K-theoretic cones for quiver representations, and to some maximal prime cones in tropical flag varieties.
