Data, curves or 2D graphics are displayed in the traditional remote monitoring system of roof support, without real-time display of working status of roof support in 3D graphics. In order to solve this problem, VB6.0 programming language and EON Studio software were combined. Communication protocol between VB6.0 and EON Studio and the way of external control on EONX were analyzed. Data acquisition system with ADAM-6017 Data Acquisition Module was designed. The remote monitoring visualization system of roof support driven by parameters of displacement and attitude was developed by means of the Ethernet transmission. The system lays a favorable foundation for remote visualization of working status of mining machinery.

AbstractWe present three Virtual Observatory tools developed at the Australia Telescope National Facility (ATNF) for the storage, processing and visualization of Australia Telescope Compact Array (ATCA) data. These are the Australia Telescope Online Archive, a prototype data-reduction pipeline, and the Remote Visualization System. These tools were developed in the context of the Virtual Observatory and were intended to be both useful for astronomers and technology demonstrators. We discuss the design and implementation of these tools, as well as issues that should be considered when developing similar systems for future telescopes.

The paper presents a new open-source visualization system, named ReVisE, aimed to provide interactive visualization of large datasets, which are results of complex numerical simulations. These datasets are hosted on a remote server or a supercomputer. The design of the system is briefly described. Dataset representation, proposed for interactive visualization and implemented in the system, is discussed. The effectiveness of our approach is confirmed by results of performance measurements on test and real-life large datasets. A comparison with other visualization systems is presented. Future plans of system development are outlined.
