Cloud computing is a technology that promises resilient and flexible computing resources to the growing business. Along with many benefits of Cloud computing, there are various complex problems such as security and privacy of data that exists on Cloud. Trust is one of the key obstacles in the adoption of Cloud by the growing market due to absence of any reliable and efficient trust evaluation mechanism. It is difficult task for Cloud consumers to choose trustworthy provider among various service providers who provide similar type of services. There is a need to have - proper techniques/methods to establish trust; proper trust based models to evaluate the trust; and awareness of various possible attacks to know the robustness of the models. Hence this paper discusses existing state of the art trust management techniques, models and attacks, to help research community interested in designing trust based schemes in Cloud environment.

Cloud computing is a technology that has enabled individual users and organizations alike to implement such functionality. Currently, a large percentage of the data being generated is stored on clouds, and the number of organizations opting for cloud-based technologies is continuously on the rise. With such growing numbers accessing and utilizing cloud resources, data security has become a significant cause of concern. Traditional methods of cloud computing are becoming obsolete and ineffective with each technological breakthrough, and data is thus highly subjected to getting corrupted or hacked. This chapter provides a survey on various trust management techniques used in cloud technology to protect the data with multiple security features.

Trust is a firm belief over a person or a thing in distributed environment based on its feedback on review based on its performance by others. Similarly, in cloud, trust models play an important role in solving various open challenges in cloud environment. This chapter showcases all such issues that can be solved by trust management techniques. This work discourses various trust management models and its categorization. The work discourses existing work using trust models from the field of grid computing, cloud computing, and web services because all these domains are sub child of each other. The work provides an abstract view over all trust models and find the suitable one for cloud and its future prospects.

Cloud computing is a model for enabling everywhere, suitable, on-demand network access. There are a number of challenges to provide cloud computing services and to accomplish this, it is necessary to establish trust across the cloud, between the user and the service provider. It is becoming increasingly complex for cloud users to make distinction among service providers offering similar kinds of services. There must be some mechanisms in the hands of users to determine trustworthiness of service providers so that they can select service providers with confidence and with some degree of assurance that service provider will not behave unpredictably or maliciously. An effective trust management system helps cloud service providers and consumers reap the benefits brought about by cloud computing technologies. Hence the objective of this chapter is to describe existing mechanisms that are used to determine a trust worthiness of a cloud service, various models that are used for calculating a trust value and method to establish trust management system.

In this chapter, a study about how Italian SMEs understand and use FinTech technologies is presented. The study focuses on FinTech-aided banking services, in particular, due to the fact that these are, at present, the most widely used FinTech technologies available in Italy. The study shows how, despite FinTech entering Italy only in recently, the Italian SMEs market is very active and fruitful for digital companies. In the last years, a continuous growth of investment has seen the development of FinTech technologies in multiple areas, such as mobile networks, big data, trust management, mobile embedded systems, cloud computing, image processing, and data analytic techniques.

Providing mobile cloud services requires seamless integration between various platforms to offer mobile users optimum performance. To achieve this, many fundamental problems such as bandwidth availability and reliability, resource scarceness, and finite energy must be addressed before rolling out such services. This chapter aims to explore technological challenges for mobile cloud computing in the area of resource management focusing on both parts of the infrastructure: mobile devices and cloud networks. Starting with introducing mobile cloud computing, it then stresses the importance of resource management in the operation of mobile cloud services presenting various types of resources available for cloud computing. Furthermore, it examines the various types of resource management techniques available for mobile clouds. Finally, future directions in the field of resource management for mobile cloud computing environment are presented.
