AbstractWe consider two problems concerning Kolmogorov widths of compacts in Banach spaces. The first problem is devoted to relations between the asymptotic behavior of the sequence of n-widths of a compact and of its projections onto a subspace of codimension one. The second problem is devoted to comparison of the sequence of n-widths of a compact in a Banach space 𝒴 and of the sequence of n-widths of the same compact in other Banach spaces containing 𝒴 as a subspace.

A new class of generalized dynamical systems involving generalizedf-projection operators is introduced and studied in Banach spaces. By using the fixed-point theorem due to Nadler, the equilibrium points set of this class of generalized global dynamical systems is proved to be nonempty and closed under some suitable conditions. Moreover, the solutions set of the systems with set-valued perturbation is showed to be continuous with respect to the initial value.

Analogues of Fatou's Lemma and Lebesgue's convergence theorems are established for ∫fdμn when {μn} is a sequence of measures. A “generalized” Dominated Convergence Theorem is also proved for the asymptotic behavior of ∫fndμn and the latter is shown to be a special case of a more general result established in vector lattices and related to the Dunford-Pettis property in Banach spaces.
