ABSTRACT We report here the complete genome sequence of Mesorhizobium ciceri bv. biserrulae strain WSM1497, the efficient nitrogen-fixing microsymbiont and commercial inoculant in Australia of the forage legume Biserrula pelecinus. The genome consists of 7.2 Mb distributed across a single chromosome (6.67 Mb) and a single plasmid (0.53 Mb).

Sinorhizobium phage ΦM6 infects the nitrogen-fixing rhizobial bacterium Sinorhizobium meliloti. ΦM6 most closely resembles marine phages, such as Puniceispirillum phage HMO-2011, rather than previously sequenced rhizobial phages.

We present the complete genome sequence of Bradyrhizobium sp. strain CCGE-LA001, a nitrogen-fixing bacterium isolated from nodules of Phaseolus microcarpus. Strain CCGE-LA001 represents the first sequenced bradyrhizobial strain obtained from a wild Phaseolus sp. Its genome revealed a large and novel symbiotic island.

We report the complete genome sequence of Ensifer mexicanus ITTG R7 T , a nitrogen-fixing bacterium isolated from nodules of Acaciella angustissima plants growing naturally in Chiapas, Mexico. The genome is distributed in four replicons comprising one 4.31-Mbp chromosome, one 1,933-Kb chromid, and two plasmids of 436 and 455 Kb.

ABSTRACT We report here the complete genome sequence of Mesorhizobium sophorae ICMP 19535T. This strain was isolated from Sophora microphylla root nodules and can nodulate and fix nitrogen with this host and also with Sophora prostrata, Sophora longicarinata, and Clianthus puniceus. The genome consists of 8.05 Mb.
