Here, we report the genome sequence of the P. syringae strain RAYR-BL, isolated from natural accessions of Arabidopsis plants. The draft genome sequence consists of 5.85 Mbp assembled in 110 contigs. The study of P. syringae RAYR-BL is a valuable tool to investigate molecular features of plant-pathogen interaction under environmental conditions.

We present the genome sequences of nine Bacillus isolates and two Weizmannia isolates from 10 different dietary supplements and one cultured food product. Strains of these species have been associated with health benefits when ingested by humans, due to their ability to survive the stomach’s acidic environment and colonize the intestinal tract.

Here, we report a draft genome sequence of a bacterial strain, F-183, isolated from a duckweed frond. Strain F-183 belongs to the family Bryobacteraceae of the phylum Acidobacteria , and its genomic information would contribute to understanding the ecophysiology of this abundant but rarely characterized phylum.

The genome sequence of Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans strain NFP31, which is a chemolithoautotrophic iron-oxidizing bacterium that inhabits acidified volcanic deposits on Mount Oyama, Miyake Island (Miyake-jima), Japan, was determined to identify the genetic characteristics associated with pioneer microbes in newly placed pyroclastic deposits.

Numerous bacterial strains from the Burkholderia cepacia complex display biocontrol activity. Here, we report the complete genome sequences of five Burkholderia strains isolated from soil. Biosynthetic gene clusters responsible for the production of antimicrobial compounds were found in the genome of these strains, which display biocontrol activity against various lettuce pathogens.

We report draft whole-genome sequences of two multidrug-resistant Salmonella enterica serovar Senftenberg sequence type 14 strains resistant to ciprofloxacin, ceftriaxone, and/or azithromycin, which were isolated from neonatal stool and goat meat in Kolkata, India. The genome characteristics, as well as the antimicrobial resistance genes, plasmid types, and integrons, are presented in this report.

A series of Bifidobacterium - Escherichia coli shuttle vectors (pKO403- lacZ′ -Cm, pKO403- lacZ′ -Sp, pKO403- lacZ′ -p15A) were constructed based on the pKO403 backbone, which carries a temperature-sensitive replication origin. These vectors carry the lacZ′ α fragment, overhung by two facing type IIS restriction sites, for blue-white selection and seamless gene cloning.

Some mucoromycotan fungi establish symbiotic associations with endohyphal bacteria. Here, the genome of Entomortierella parvispora E1425 (synonymously known as Mortierella parvispora E1425), which harbors a cultured Burkholderiaceae -related endobacterium (BRE) designated Mycoavidus sp. Strain B2-EB, was sequenced. We provide genomic information to elucidate fungal-BRE symbiotic features.

We report a draft genome sequence of Comamonas testosteroni strain YAZ2, a polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) degrader that was isolated from a PCB-unpolluted environment. The assembled genome contains a single 5.4-Mb chromosome and an 87-kb plasmid. The bph gene cluster, which is involved in PCB degradation, was found on the chromosome.

Magnetosome gene clusters (MGCs), which are responsible for magnetosome biosynthesis and organization in magnetotactic bacteria (MTB), are the key to deciphering the mechanisms and evolutionary origin of magnetoreception, organelle biogenesis, and intracellular biomineralization in bacteria. Here, we report the development of MagCluster, a Python stand-alone tool for efficient exploration of MGCs from large-scale (meta)genomic data.
