Testicular arteries usually arise from the abdominal Aorta; however they may rarely arise from other arteries of posterior abdominal wall. Variations of the testicular arteries and renal vessels are common. Awareness of these variations is very important to surgeons to increase their surgical precision and therefore avoiding iatrogenic injuries as well as useful in diagnostic procedures. This case report we discovered the rare variation of the origin of the right testicular artery arising from the right aberrant renal artery with double renal artery irrigating both left and right kidneys. These variations in the testicular arteries and renal arteries have implication to surgical procedures such as orchidopexy repair for undescended testis, renal transplantation and nephrectomy. Thus with the introduction of novel surgical and invasive diagnostic procedures understanding of these rare variations becomes significantly important. Currently these procedures are of increasing in our settings as such the information on variations is of prime importance. Keywords: Testicular artery; renal artery, variation, abdominal aorta

Abstract Background Accessory renal artery (ARA) is the most common site for anatomical variation of renal supply artery. Rare studies reported interventional embolization for the management of massive hemorrhage caused by ARA injury after percutaneous kidney biopsy (PKB). Case presentation We describe a 35-year-old man who developed massive hemorrhage after PKB leading to shock. Digital subtraction angiography (DSA) showed hemorrhage in the ARA at the inferior pole of the right kidney and hemostasis was noticed after renal artery embolization. Conclusions We proposed that much attention should be paid to the presence of ARA before PKB. In addition, digital subtraction angiography combined with superselective embolization is the best choice for the treatment of renal artery injury.

During routine dissection of 65 year old male Indian cadaver posterior abdominal wall, variations in the testicular vessels were observed. The left testicular artery arose from the left accessory renal artery, which originated from the ventral aspect of abdominal aorta. There were two right testicular veins which drained to right renal vein.

The purpose of this report is to present a rare case of lumbar artery aneurysm. We report the case of a 54-years-old male patient who was misdiagnosed over years having a chronic infrarenal aortic aneurysm. A 64-slice CT at our institution revealed a large lumbar artery aneurysm. The conclusion of this case report is that a lumbar or accessory renal artery aneurysm has to be taken into consideration if there is a localized enlargement of the lower abdominal aorta and a high resolution CT-scan is strongly recommended to make the exact diagnosis.

Lichen planus (LP) is a papulosquamous disorder characterized by violaceous, flat topped papules and plaques seen on the volar aspect of the wrists, lumbar region and around the ankles. It can have a varied presentation. Here we describe a rare variant of LP in a female who presented with unilateral eruptions of violaceous papules over the right side of the body.
