The time-dependent Ginzburg-Landau equations of superconductivity with a time-dependent magnetic fieldHare discussed. We prove existence and uniqueness of weak and strong solutions withH1-initial data. The result is obtained under the “φ=−ω(∇⋅A)” gauge withω>0. These solutions generate a dynamical process and are uniformly bounded in time.

Fluids in unsaturated porous media are described by the relationship between pressure (p) and saturation (u). Darcy's law and conservation of mass provides an evolution equation for u, and the capillary pressure provides a relation between p and u of the form p∈ pc(u,∂tu). The multi-valued function pc leads to hysteresis effects. We construct weak and strong solutions to the hysteresis system and homogenize the system for oscillatory stochastic coefficients. The effective equations contain a new dependent variable that encodes the history of the wetting process and provide a better description of the physical system.

First law of thermodynamics has been used to analyze and optimize inclusively the performance of a triple absorption heat transformer operating with LiBr/H2O as the working pair. A thermodynamic model was developed in EES (engineering equation solver) to estimate the performance of the system in terms of the most essential parameters. The assumed parameters are the temperature of the main components, weak and strong solutions, economizers’ efficiencies, and bypass ratios. The whole cycle is optimized by EES software from the viewpoint of maximizing the COP via applying the direct search method. The optimization results showed that the COP of 0.2491 is reachable by the proposed cycle.
