In Reply.— We read carefully the two papers from Alkalay et al1 and Hurvitz et al,2 and thank them for their letter to the editor. They emphasize the efficacy of cyclophosphamide therapy for vascular tumors in infancy. In our series of 25 cases,3 all 25 infants had hemangiomas, defined4 by a postnatal cellular and capillary proliferation, either cutaneous or cutaneous and visceral, undergoing rapid growth and then slow spontaneous regression. Liver localizations appeared to be particularly life-threatening (three of our infants died).
