A squirrel monkey was trained to close a switch activating a photo stimulator set for a single flash. The color of the light signalled the availability or unavailability of a raisin reward. Evoked potentials were recorded across the inferotemporal cortex and adjacent white matter, after original training and after each of 3 reversals. In each case there was a greater negative deflection in response to the SD. The difference in potentials was much less for the last 2 reversals.
