The protein band patterns of 47 soil bacteria, all thought to be of the arthrobacter kind, were analyzed by a simple numerical method in which each observed Et value was treated as a unit character. The results were not satisfactory. In a second analysis only major bands were taken into account and small variations in the Et values of the 24 chosen bands were disregarded. This subjective editing was required to satisfy a minimum criterion that replicates be recognized as such by the analysis. It was concluded that without a means of estimating the variation in Et value for each band and of identifying homologous bands, electrophoretic band patterns of crude extracts of soluble proteins are likely to be of limited rather than general use in microbial taxonomy.

Analytic SU(2) × Sn dual tensorial (DT) spin dynamics over uniform NMR spins is invoked in examining the modern quantum basis for the universal non-observability rule which governs dominant intracluster JXX' couplings of (A)[X]n NMR systems as a specific form of (abstract) permutational spin symmetry (PSS) with well defined properties on spin-alone space. This is shown to be linked to DT constraints that apply to the cross-product ϕ1±1(1.1) polarisation development i.e., as being confined to [1n](Sn) (Liouvillian) salient, with the existence of [n] (rotating frame) null subspaces. Both these arise within the spin dynamics of (A)[X]2 spin systems (or subsystems thereof) within (a hierarchy of) dominant JXX' governing the internal L(0); such spin systems provide analytic sequels to comparative spin dynamics studies of XX' PSS and AX broken-PSS systems in a Liouvillian coupled tensorial basis formalism, since both draw on (Sanctuary B. C.: Mol. Phys. 1985, 55, 1017), and on the realisation that proper PSS over a (uniform) spin-space L(0) = [H(0),.] zeroth-order Liouvillian and its internal (hierarchical subsets of) JXX' (Temme F. P.: J. Mol. Struct. (THEOCHEM) 2002, 547, 153) i.e., for abstract Sn ↓ G group embeddings. The present work also examines the general irrep-structure of DT spin symmetries for the extent of unit-character irreps and the role of Sn ⊃ Sn-1 ⊃ .. ⊃ [2](S2) group chains in defining the Sn multiple invariants under democratic recoupling of PSS of uniform spin systems. As group measures, these properties apply to both (A)[X]n and [AX]n PSS symmetries, with the invariant cardinality |SI|(n) being related to time-reversal invariance (TRI) and its inherent democratic recoupling (DR) over Weyl (I • I) pairs. For [X]2n uniform spin clusters, |SI|(2n) is best derived via n-fold polyhedral combinatorics of the underlying DR (Temme F. P.: Proc. R. Soc. London, Ser. A 2005, 461, 321) i.e., as an augmented post-Weyl view of the essential role of TRI in (group) invariant cardinality, with the Sn-invariants represented by certain Sn subduction properties.

Abstract The analyses of the nonconformity of products are made in order to achieve the desired level of their quality. This is also the case in the analyzed enterprise located in south-eastern Poland. Due to production character in this enterprise to identify the incompatibilities of products the non-destructive tests are used. In the current approach to quality after identified the nonconformities the cause her arise were determined, it was noted in order to use by statistical analyzes. Unfortunately, no deeper qualitative analyzes were made which could specify the source of its creation. Therefore, it was considered that it is necessary to propose to use (near current actions according to non-destructive tests) the sequence of quality management instruments. In order to improve the quality control actions, the sequence of techniques which complement each other, i.e. non-destructive tests, Ishikawa diagram and 5Why method, was proposed. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed sequence, the rear cover of the bearing turbine was selected as the subject of the analysis. The choice was conditioned by the unit character of production, which till now was discouraged a detailed analysis of sources of nonconformities. After analyzed the product with used the fluorescent method the nonconformities were identified on the rear cover of the bearing turbine, which was the porosity cluster. In order to identify the causes these nonconformities the Ishikawa diagram was drawn up. Next, the selected main causes (i.e. supplier of the product and nonconformities created during the production of the product) were analyzed the 5Why method in order to identify the source cause of the problem. In this case, it was the nonconformity material from the supplier. The proposed sequence, which uses the minimal resources let to show the wide range of information, which should be used to the improvement of quality. The presented the set of activities can be practised in each of the enterprises to analyze quality problems in order to identify the nonconformities and their causes.

Evolutionary relationships among Avena species were inferred by means of computer cladistic analysis. The method of Farris for computing Wagner networks was applied separately to the diploid and to the hexaploid species. The method of Camin and Sokal was applied to the diploid species only. A great number of networks were generated of which representatives are documented in this paper. After various roots have been chosen, a number of trees thus determined are proposed as hypotheses of cladistic relationships. Unit character consistencies were also computed to assess the degree of homoplasy of the characters in the different trees.
