The authors discuss a case of aortic dissection in a young man with hypertension. The delay in
considering the diagnosis and ordering the proper investigations secondary to the unusual presentation
of the case complicated by the logistics of patient’s transfer to specialized Cardiothoracic unit where
surgery can be performed safely have impacted the unfortunate outcome.
