Bridge Structural Health Monitoring System mainly monitors vibration and cable force of bridge. Fiber optical sensor is chosen to measure vibration and cable force, and their computing method is also given. Besides, wavelet de-noising and Multi-harmonic extraction technology is used to process data. In order to collect, analyze, display and store data, the system use LabVIEW and SQL Serve platform with multi-thread and multi-protocol technology. System regards the one Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge as real-time monitoring objects, and all the indicators have reached the design requirements.

Calculation of cable force under seasonal ambient temperature is the key and difficult problem in the construction of long-span rib arch bridge. It affects the final cable forces and deformations of arch rib after arch closure. Unstressed state control method is introduced in the construction of Daning River Bridge; unstressed qualities of ribs and unstressed length of cables can be obtained by optimization analysis of the maximum cantilever state in construction. According to unstressed state control method, the cable forces of each segment were calculated using the forward-iteration method. These results offer the basis for construction control, and guarantee the arch rib line and cable forces to meet the design requirements, and an arch closure with high precision.

The measurement accuracy of the cable tensions in the hanger rods of concrete filled steel tube arch bridges is important for the correct evaluation of bridges condition. Based on Jinpan Bridge-a half through concrete filled steel tube arch bridge with 80 m span in Tiantai, it was put forward the vibration frequency method for testing and evaluate suspender tensions with the help of analysis vibration characters of the suspender. The precision of cable force calculation formula was verified after comparing the practical tension with the designed tension obtained from tension jack method. Then, according to the test results and values predicted by the presented cable force calculation formula, the cable tensions were adjusted. Cable tension test results in the finished bridge show that this method is feasible.
