Multioperator silk screen printer is automatic silk screen printing equipment. There are many advantages, such as energy saving, reduce the labor intensity and so on. The control system consists of an intermittent movement main motor and eight color working station printing cycle motion motors. The system controls nine frequency converters through protocol macro communication by using PLC. This paper studies the principle and process characteristics of multioperator silk screen printer. Besides, this paper adopts protocol macro sequence generation method for communication between PLC and frequency converter. This method can control the programming of parameters, such as frequency, operation and monitoring. It also can realize the printing of eight color working stations and monitor the printing status in real time. The practical application proves that the method meets the technical requirements and the reliability is good.

In recent years, a more scientific approach to the age-old craft of silk screen printing has resulted in the evolution of complex precision-built printing machines for use in the electronics micro-circuit industry. Even so, our knowledge of the physical processes involved in screen printing is still far from complete. An attempt is made here to provide a better understanding of the screen printing mechanism and more specifically of print thickness control. Two different printing modes are described and the effect of and interaction between some of the more important machine parameters in this respect are discussed. A simple pillar theory is offered which allows a prediction to be made of the quantity of ink fundamentally deposited by a given screen.

Silk screen printing is the most demanding printing until now. Besides the processing was easy and simple, this printing technique is easy to be understood in a relatively short time. The most important thing in silk screen printing is perseverance, accuration, and creativity. By the relatively low cost, could begin to learn silk screen printing technique. The processing of silk screen printing can be done manually, with a drop of equipment. Starting from the process of image planning, copy process, until the printing process, all of these phases could be done without the support of developing technologies. However it can not be denied that the rapidly developing technologies make the work easier.
