Abstract MAGNIFER 50 is a soft magnetic iron-nickel alloy containing about 48% nickel. It has a saturation induction of 1.55T and a high permeability. It exhibits the highest saturation induction obtainable with iron-nickel alloys. Typical applications are (1) Low-frequency power transducers, (2) Chokes (Coils), (3) Relay parts and (4) Integrating current transformers for Fi-protective switches. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Fe-70. Producer or source: VDM Technologies Corporation.
