Food allergy has been increasing the incidence mainly among children. Cows milk is considered the most frequently related food for this desease in infants of low age. Different types of pathophysiological mechanisms are involved in these reactions, whether or not IgE mediation occurs. The reported case has an early presentation with clinical features of enteropathy - protracted diarrhea and important influence on nutritional status - and marked recovery with the exclusion diet.
