Contributions of Prof. Kakac to the field of heat transfer, especially forced, internal flows for single and multiphase are significant and will leave with us for generations. It is an honor to celebrate Prof. Kakac’s 75th birthday with remembering his works. This paper is an attempt to produce some of Prof. Kakac’s old results on single phase flow in a duct with emerging method, Lattice Boltzmann Method. Also, to show the method’s capability in handling conjugate effect naturally. The fluxes (momentum and heat) are naturally conserved at the interface between solid and fluid. Conjugate effect becomes important in macro-flows, where the effect of axial heat conduction through the fluid conducting devices significantly affect the rate of heat transfer.
