Here, we report the complete genome sequence of strain GD-2011, a highly pathogenic porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (HP-PRRSV) that was isolated from a stillborn fetus. The GD-2011 strain is characterized by a discontinuous 30–amino acid deletion in the nonstructural protein 2. In addition, GD-2011 had a 1–amino acid insertion in glycoprotein 5, which does not exist in any other HP-PRRSV strains.

ABSTRACTThe NADC30-like strains of porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV) are characterized by a 131-amino-acid deletion in nonstructural protein 2 (NSP2). Here, we report the complete genome sequence of a recombinant NADC30-like PRRSV strain, SCnj16, that exhibits the molecular marker of the Chinese highly pathogenic PRRSV (HP-PRRSV) in NSP2.

Here, we report the complete genome of a Chinese highly pathogenic porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (HP-PRRSV) characterized by a further 29-amino acid (87 nucleotides) deletion in its Nsp2-coding region compared to the prototype of the HP-PRRSV JXA1 strain.

Following the 2006 outbreaks of the highly pathogenic porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome, the causative agent was identified as the highly pathogenic porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (HP-PRRSV). To investigate whether the HP-PRRSV variant continues circulating and accelerating evolution, we sequenced and analyzed the complete genome of the identified HP-PRRSV field strain SD16. The sequence data indicate that the HP-PRRSV variant continues to prevail and accelerate evolution, especially in the nonstructural protein.

The most recently emergent porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus strains in China are characterized by 393 nucleotide deletions in the nonstructural protein 2 (NSP2) region and are known as NADC30-like strains. Here, we report the complete genome sequence of the NADC30-like HNjz15 strain that was isolated in 2015.

Here, we report the complete genome of an NADC30-like porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV) strain, HNhx, which was isolated from Henan Province, China, in 2016 and was characterized by recombination with JXA1 strain (an epidemic highly pathogenic PRRSV strain in China) in Nsp4 to Nsp9.

ABSTRACT The complete genome sequence of the first Japanese isolate of hibiscus latent Singapore virus (HLSV-J) was determined. The genomes of HLSV-J and a reported isolate from Singapore had only 86.7% nucleotide identity, while the encoded proteins shared amino acid identities of more than 95%.
