The title compound is orthorhombic, space group Pbca, a = 8.523(1), b = 17.467(3), c = 9.449(1) Å, Z = 4, R = 0 052 for 878 observed reflections. The molecule is centrosymmetric with inversion at the middle of the double bond. The characteristic feature of the structure is an almost exactly planar O-S-C(H)=C'(H')-S'-O' moiety with the H···O' and H'···O distances of 2.55 Å, indicating much more weaker intramolecular hydrogen bonds than in the related ethylsulfonyl derivative studied earlier.

The crystal structure of the title compound, C9H6OS2, represents a new polymorph. The crystal structure was solved in the orthorhombic space groupPbcnwith one half of the molecule in the asymmetric unit. The thiophene rings are perfectly planar and twisted with respect to each other, showing the molecule to be in an S,O-trans/S,O-transconformation. In the crystal, C—H...O hydrogen bonds connect the molecules into layers extending parallel to theabplane. The crystal structure also features π–π interactions.

(2-Acetylferrocen-1-yl)boronic acid, [Fe(C5H5)(C7H8BO3)] or 2-C(O)CH3-1-B(OH)2–Fc [Fc = Fe(η5-C5H3)(η5-C5H5)], crystallizes in the centrosymmetric space group P21/n. The boronic acid functionality interacts via intramolecular hydrogen bonds with the acetyl group and with the –B(OH)2 functionality of an adjacent molecule. The resulting centrosymmetric dimer exhibits an anti-positioning of the ferrocenyl moieties towards the central B2O4 plane. Consequently, an (Rp ,Sp )-, i.e. a meso configuration is present for this dimer. In the crystal, weak C—H...O hydrogen bonds consolidate the molecular packing.

The title compound, C17H12Cl2O, crystallizes in a centrosymmetric space group. The dihedral angle between the two benzene rings is 24.7 (1)°. The crystal packing is characterized by non-classical C—H...O and C—H...Cl inter- and intramolecular hydrogen bonds.

The molecule of the title compound, C21H18N2O6, has a bent rather than a linear conformation supported by three intramolecular C—H...O hydrogen bonds. The packing in the crystal lattice is largely determined by interactions between hydrogen atoms with oxygen atom lone pairs with one molecule interacting with neigbouring moleculesviaO—H...O, N—H...O and C—H...O hydrogen bonds. The title compound crystallizes in the chiral orthorhombic space groupP212121. Its absolute structure could not be determined crystallographically and was assumed with reference to that of the reactant 5-iodo-2′-deoxyuridine.

The title compound, C10H10O4, was synthesized from tetramethyl-1,4-benzoquinone. In the crystal, the almost planar molecule (r.m.s. deviation = 0.024 Å) forms intramolecular hydrogen bonds between the aldehyde and hydroxy groups and exhibits C 2v symmetry. This achiral molecule crystallizes in the chiral space group P21 with intermolecular O—H...O and C—H...O hydrogen bonding and C—H...π and C=O...π interactions stabilizing the crystal packing.

The molecules of the title compound, [Cu(C11H13N2O2)2], lie across centres of inversion in space group P21/c and are linked by intermolecular N-H···O and C-H···O hydrogen bonds. The central Cu atom has a slightly distorted square-planar coordination comprised of four N atoms. Cu-N bond distances are 1.975(2) and 2.020(2) Å . The interplanar angle between the phenyl and succinimidato ring is 87.34(10)°

Methylation of aromatic amino groups is usually straightforward, but the formation of two intramolecular hydrogen bonds in 3,3′-N,N′-bis(amino)-2,2′-bipyridine and (or) the potential for ring methylation prevents the clean tetramethylation of this molecule. Numerous attempts to make 3,3′-N,N′-bis(dimethylamino)-2,2′-bipyridine produced only complex mixtures of variously methylated products, and the only isolated molecule was 3,3′-N,N′-bis(methylamino)-2,2′-bipyridine, for which an X-ray crystal structure was obtained.

This article provides the first single-crystal XRD-based structure of enantiopure (R)-baclofen (form C), C10H12ClNO2, without any co-crystallized substances. In the enantiopure title compound, the molecules arrange themselves in an orthorhombic crystal structure (space group P212121). In the crystal, strong hydrogen bonds and C—H ... Cl bonds interconnect the zwitterionic molecules.
