This paper develops a theory of monoidal categories relative to a braided monoidal category, called augmented monoidal categories. For such categories, balanced bimodules are defined using the formalism of balanced functors. It is shown that there exists a monoidal structure on the relative tensor product of two augmented monoidal categories which is Morita dual to a relative version of the monoidal center. In examples, a category of locally finite weight modules over a quantized enveloping algebra is equivalent to the relative monoidal center of modules over its Borel part. A similar result holds for small quantum groups, without restricting to locally finite weight modules. More generally, for modules over bialgebras inside a braided monoidal category, the relative center is shown to be equivalent to the category of Yetter–Drinfeld modules inside the braided category. If the braided category is given by modules over a quasitriangular Hopf algebra, then the relative center corresponds to modules over a braided version of the Drinfeld double (i.e. the double bosonization in the sense of Majid) which are locally finite for the action of the dual.

Let π be a group and (H = {Hα}α∈π, μ, η) a Hopf π-algebra. First, we introduce the concept of quasitriangular Hopf π-algebra, and then prove that the left H-π-module category [Formula: see text], where (H, R) is a quasitriangular Hopf π-algebra, is a braided monoidal category. Second, we give the construction of Hopf π-crossed coproduct algebra [Formula: see text]. At last, the necessary and sufficient conditions for [Formula: see text] to be a quasitriangular Hopf π-algebra are derived, and in this case, [Formula: see text] is a braided monoidal category.

We construct the quantized enveloping algebra of any simple Lie algebra of type $\mathbb{A}\mathbb{D}\mathbb{E}$ as the quotient of a Grothendieck ring arising from certain cyclic quiver varieties. In particular, the dual canonical basis of a one-half quantum group with respect to Lusztig’s bilinear form is contained in the natural basis of the Grothendieck ring up to rescaling. This paper expands the categorification established by Hernandez and Leclerc to the whole quantum groups. It can be viewed as a geometric counterpart of Bridgeland’s recent work for type $\mathbb{A}\mathbb{D}\mathbb{E}$.

AbstractIn this paper we show that to a unital associative algebra object (resp. co-unital co-associative co-algebra object) of any abelian monoidal category ( $\mathscr{C},\otimes$ ) endowed with a symmetric 2-trace, i.e., an $F\in \text{Fun}(\mathscr{C},\text{Vec})$ satisfying some natural trace-like conditions, one can attach a cyclic (resp. cocyclic) module, and therefore speak of the (co)cyclic homology of the (co)algebra “with coefficients in $F$ ”. Furthermore, we observe that if $\mathscr{M}$ is a $\mathscr{C}$ -bimodule category and $(F,M)$ is a stable central pair, i.e., $F\in \text{Fun}(\mathscr{M},\text{Vec})$ and $M\in \mathscr{M}$ satisfy certain conditions, then $\mathscr{C}$ acquires a symmetric 2-trace. The dual notions of symmetric 2-contratraces and stable central contrapairs are derived as well. As an application we can recover all Hopf cyclic type (co)homology theories.

Let U be the quantized enveloping algebra associated to a simple Lie algebra g by Drinfel'd and Jimbo. Let λ be a classical fundamental weight for g, and ⋯(λ) the irreducible, finite-dimensional type 1 highest weight U-module with highest weight λ. We show that the canonical basis for ⋯(λ) (see Kashiwara [6, §0] and Lusztig [18, 14.4.12]) and the standard monomial basis (see [11, §§2.4 and 2.5]) for ⋯(λ) coincide.

AbstractWe formulate a Beilinson-Bernstein-type derived equivalence for a quantized enveloping algebra at a root of 1 as a conjecture. It says that there exists a derived equivalence between the category of modules over a quantized enveloping algebra at a root of 1 with fixed regular Harish-Chandra central character and the category of certain twistedD-modules on the corresponding quantized flag manifold. We show that the proof is reduced to a statement about the (derived) global sections of the ring of differential operators on the quantized flag manifold. We also give a reformulation of the conjecture in terms of the (derived) induction functor.
