Adenomatoid odontogenic tumor (AOT), a benign (hamartomatous) lesion of odontogenic origin, is an uncommon tumor which affects mainly females in the second decade. This lesion is most commonly associated with an impacted maxillary canine. This paper reported a case of AOT, in a 16-year-old female, associated with an impacted maxillary left lateral incisor. The evolution of this tumor was followed over 36 months and 24 months after excision.

Adenomatoid odontogenic tumor, a benign tumor of odontogenic origin has known for many years. Only few case reports have been published in the literatute and hence considered to be an uncommon tumor. The lesion has been called by various names as it has exhibited in various clinical and histological patterns for which the origin and histogenesis still remains uncertain. Here, we report a case of 18 year old female patient who came to us with a complain of swelling in the upper anterior tooth region and radiographically showing an Extrafollicular radiolucency adjacent to the crown of an impacted canine tooth.

Adenomatoid odontogenic tumor is a benign hamartomatous odontogenic neoplasm. This entity is more commonly seen in young individuals in second decade of life. It occurs commonly in the anterior maxillary region usually in association with impacted maxillary canine. Here, a case report in which the tumor occurred at an early age of 8 years (in the first decade of life) and associated with an unerupted first premolar tooth (which is an unusual situation) has been reported. Priority should be made on early diagnosis and proper treatment planning.

Adenomatoid odontogenic tumor (AOT) is an uncommon tumor of odontogenic origin, characterized histologically by the formation of ductlike structures with amyloid-like deposits. Histogenesis of AOT is still uncertain and it is often considered as a hamartomatous lesion rather than a true neoplasm. AOT has a benign behavior and conservative surgical enucleation or curettage is sufficient. We report a case of AOT in a 15-year-old female who presented with left-sided jaw swelling with tooth resorption. Histopathology revealed intraosseus follicular variant of AOT. A brief review of literature is also discussed.

The adenomatoid odontogenic tumour is a relatively uncommon lesion which mainly affects females in their second decade of life. It exhibits a predilection for the anterior region of the maxilla. The lesion is usually associated with the crown of an embedded tooth, most commonly the maxillary canine. In this paper, we present a case of adenomatoid odontogenic tumor affecting the left maxillary region in a 24-year-old female. The authors also discuss clinical, radiographic, histopathologic, and therapeutic features of the case.

INTRODUCTION: Maxillary canine-first premolar transposition (Mx.C.P1) is an uncommon dental positional anomaly that may create many orthodontic problems from both esthetic and functional points of view. OBJECTIVE: In this report we show the orthodontic management of a case of Mx.C.P1 associated with bilateral maxillary lateral incisor agenesis and unilateral mandibular second premolar agenesis METHODS: The patient was treated with a multibracket appliance and the extraction of the lower premolar. RESULTS: treatment was completed without the need for any prosthetic replacement.

ABSTRACT Adenomatoid odontogenic tumor (AOT) is an uncommon tumor of odontogenic origin, constituting only 3% of all odontogenic tumors. AOT is characterized histologically by the formation of duct-like structures with amyloid-like deposits. An 18-year-old male presented with right chek swelling. CT scan revealed well-defined expansile heterogeneous mass with central hypodensity. Patient underwent excision of the mass by Caldwell-luc approach and histopathologically the diagnosis adenomatoid odontogenic tumor was made. Since it is a benign tumor, the treatment should consist of enucleation and curettage.
