Background: Breast involvement of tuberculosis (TB) is well known but uncommon. It can resemble other diseases, including breast cancer, and diagnosis is quite difficult. So, when facing a breast lesion, a possible tubercular etiology should always be born in mind, relying on qualified laboratories to confirm the diagnosis. Case Report: We describe a 42-year-old woman with a mammary fistula complicating a post-traumatic lump. A critical analysis of the diagnostic process was performed together with a review of the literature, also considering the potential role of trauma in inducing such a rare complication.

Ligos simptomatika pasireiškia praėjus ilgam laikotarpiui po traumos, todėl yra sunku nustatyti blužnies pseudocistos etiologiją. Šiame straipsnyje pristatomas klinikinis potrauminės blužnies pseudocistos atvejis ir aptariama chirurginio gydymo taktika. Reikšminiai žodžiai: potrauminis blužnies sužalojimas, blužnies pseudocista, blužnies pseudocistos gydymas. It is known to occur only to 1% of patients who had undergone such blunt abdominal trauma. The symptoms of the disease are reported to develop after a long post-traumatic period, thus the etiology of the pseudocyst of the spleen is hard to reveal. The aim of this paper is to present a case of the post-traumatic pseudocyst of the spleen and to discuss the strategy of the surgical management. Keywords: post-traumatic spleen injury, splenic pseudocyst, management of splenic pseudocyst.

As the neurointervention field grows, a new side effect emerges. Delayed leukoencephalopathy (DL) is believed to be an inflammatory or allergic reaction to polymer material that is shed from catheters during endovascular procedures. We present four cases of DL after aneurysm treatment in two patients, endovascular stroke treatment and diagnostic arteriography. We present our diagnostic process, including biopsy results in two patients, our anti-inflammatory treatment and outcomes together with a review of the literature. In our series, prognosis was variable with ongoing seizures in two patients. Our literature review reveals that asymptomatic shedding of polymer material is common, occurring in a third of endovascular stroke procedures, whereas symptomatic DL occurs in <0.5% of therapeutic neuroendovascular procedures. Clinicians should be aware of this rare complication, and oral glucocorticoids seem to be a reasonable first-line treatment strategy.

AbstractSinus pericranii (SP) are abnormal vascular connections between extracranial scalp venous channels and intracranial dural sinuses. This vascular abnormality rarely results in significant sequelae, but in select cases, it can be symptomatic. We describe the case of a 7-year-old girl with an SP who experienced intermittent visual, motor, and sensory symptoms not previously described in the literature. Her symptoms resolved after surgical treatment of the SP. We propose a mechanism for her symptoms and the rationale for the role of neurosurgical intervention along with a review of the literature.
