Fifteen parasitoids of Massicus raddei (Blessig & Solsky) (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae) are revised. The host is a serious pest of Quercus liaotungensis Koidz. and Q. mongolica Fisch. ex Ledeb. in NE China. All the parasitoids were reared from larvae of M. raddei. Pseudocyanopterus gen. nov. raddeivorus sp. nov., a new braconid wasp is described, and Cyanopterus tricolor (Ivanov) and Eubazus (E.) pallipes are new records for the Chinese fauna. An identification key to the parasitoids of M. raddei in China is provided. Detailed photographs of the parasitoids are provided.

Forty-one new species of the mostly neotropical genus Coniceromyia Borgmeier are described. The descriptions follow the methodology of recent works on the genus taxonomy and illustrate habitus, foremetatarsus, wing, hind femur, and hypopygium for each species. Unique features of some species are also illustrated, including several male features possibly related to sexual selection such as processes on different tarsomeres of the foreleg. New records for the known species are presented, as well as an identification key for the species of the genus and maps with their updated distribution. Coniceromyia brandaoi Ament & Amorim is synonymized with Coniceromyia plaumanni Borgmeier. Even though this work examined the Coniceromyia of the major collections of neotropical Phoridae, the high number of singletons and doubletons indicates that the real diversity of the genus may still be far from understood.

Pseudodendrothrips maculatus sp.n. is described from Morus leaves in Japan, and the following five species of Dendrothripinae are newly recorded from Japan: Leucothrips furcatus Hood, L. nigripennis Reuter, L. piercei (Morgan), Pseudodendrothrips darci (Girault) and P. lateralis Wang. Moreover, P. bhattii is newly recorded from Taiwan. An identification key to Pseudodendrothrips species from Japan and Taiwan is provided, and the metathoracic pleural area is compared between several Dendrothripinae genera.

A synopsis of the genus Commelina in Andaman and Nicobar Islands is presented with one new species and three new records. The new species, C. andamanica is remarkable by its trailing habit without a definite base, solitary and terminal, cucullate spathe with a single cincinnus and two smooth seeds within a capsule. Of the seven species of Commelina recorded, C. attenuata, C. clavata and C. longifolia are new to the islands. An identification key to all the species reported from Andaman and Nicobar Islands is also provided.

Sixteen species have been found in Malaise traps and fogging samples from Kéniéroba and Ouronina, SW Mali. One new species, Atherigona kenierobaensis sp. nov., is described; A. budongoana, A. laevigata, A. lineata torrida, A. mirabilis aratra, and A. nigrapicalis are newly recorded for Mali; this brings the total number of species known from the country to 30. An illustrated identification key for Malian Atherigona species is provided.

Thrips is the largest genus in the Thysanoptera subfamily Thripinae, with 280 described species (Mound & Ng, 2009; Mound, 2010). Of these, 91 species are recorded from the Oriental and Pacific Regions (Palmer, 1992), and an identification key is available to the 23 species known from Peninsular Malaysia (Mound & Azidah, 2009). In the latter paper, the authors described one new species and recorded seven species as new records for the area, and these totals suggest that many more species are likely to occur here.

One new species of springtail, Oudemansia chenorum sp. nov., is described and illustrated. Pseudanurida sawayai Schuster, 1965 is reported from Hainan Island for the first time. An identification key for the species of Oudemansia Schött, 1893 is provided and remarks are made on its peculiar morphology as well as that of close related genera. The presence of pseudocelli is further confirmed on members of the genus Oudemansia.

Podothrips species occur on the leaves of various Poaceae, including bamboo and grasses. An illustrated identification key is given here to the six Podothrips species recorded from China. These include P. femoralis Dang & Qiao, sp. nov., and P. sasacola Kurosawa, P. odonaspicola (Kurosawa), and P. semiflavus Hood that are newly recorded from China.

The monotypic genus Arthurella Albuquerque, 1954 was originally described for A. nudiseta with a distribution restricted to Chile and Argentina. We add one new species, Arthurella choelensis sp. nov., from the central part of Argentina, and new distribution records for A. nudiseta. Biological and distributional information is given for both species. An identification key to the species of the genus is provided.

The phytoseiid mites of the Cape Verde archipelago are scarcely known. We report the results of a survey conducted on the islands of Santiago and Santo Antão, where phytoseiids were collected from native, cultivated and invasive plants. Fourteen species were collected, four of which represent new records for the islands. One new species, Typhlodromus (Anthoseius) macrodactylus Ferragut sp. nov., is described and illustrated. We describe the unknown male of Amblyseius neolargoensis van der Merwe, provide a redescription of the male of Euseius fustis (Pritchard & Baker) and additional morphological information for all examined species.
