In order to give full consideration to the consumer’s personal preference in cloud service selection strategies and improve the credibility of service prediction, a preference-aware cloud service selection model based on consumer community (CC-PSM) is presented in this work. The objective of CC-PSM is to select a service meeting a target consumer’s demands and preference. Firstly, the correlation between cloud consumers from a bipartite network for service selection is mined to compute the preference similarity between them. Secondly, an improved hierarchical clustering algorithm is designed to discover the consumer community with similar preferences so as to form the trusted groups for service recommendation. In the clustering process, a quantization function called community degree is given to evaluate the quality of community structure. Thirdly, a prediction model based on consumer community is built to predict a consumer’s evaluation on an unknown service. The experimental results show that CC-PSM can effectively partition the consumers based on their preferences and has good effectiveness in service selection applications.

Corrugated box printing machines are precision equipment produced by markedly few manufacturers. They involve high investment cost and risk. Having a corrugated box precision printing machine (CBPPM) supplier with a good reputation enables a corrugated box manufacturer to maintain its competitive advantage. Accordingly, establishing an effective CBPPM supplier selection model is crucial for corrugated box manufacturers. This study established a two-stage CBPPM supplier selection model. The first stage involved the use of a modified Delphi method to construct a supplier selection hierarchy with five criteria and 14 subcriteria. In the second stage, an analytic network process was employed to calculate the weights of criteria and subcriteria and to determine the optimal supplier. According to the results, the five criteria in the model, in descending order of importance, are quality, commitment, cost, service attitude, and reputation. This model can provide insights for corrugated box manufacturers formulating their CBPPM supplier selection strategy.

Today, most institutions use their website as one of the major means of consolidating communications channels within their organization and among their customers and users. Nevertheless, many of these organizations either have not clearly formulated the goals they want to achieve through their website or do not know to what extent their website contributes to satisfying these goals. This paper presents a model based on Analytic Network Process (ANP) aimed at helping organization managers to verify if their website contents are appropriate for satisfying the goals they have established. This analysis is achieved by studying the relationships among the goals established for the website, website contents, and potential users grouped into segments. The model was applied to a study case, analyzing the website of a foundation pertaining to a major banking institution in Spain.

An integrated model based on ANP method which contains three major criteria, thirteen sub-criteria and thirty six factors was developed to evaluate urban regeneration project plans. To improve the traditional ANP method, a non-linear Programming equation which can be solved by the PS method was used to measure the inconsistency as well as to calculate the priorities in the pair-wise comparison stage of ANP. In addition, a DEMATEL method was employed to analyze the interdependencies of criteria/factors comprehensively. Five alternative plans of an urban regeneration project were adopted to test the effectiveness of the developed model. It was found the integrated model was feasible and effective to solve the problem of evaluation of the urban regeneration project plans.
