Intentional replantation is a procedure in which an intentional tooth extraction is performed followed by reinsertion of the extracted tooth into its own alveolus. In this article, intentional replantation is described and discussed as a treatment approach for failed root canal treatment with broken instrument periapically in mandibular second molar.

Retention, stability and support are the basic principles on which the success of a complete denture relies on. Extreme resorption of the maxillary denture-bearing area leads to a narrower, constricted residual ridge with decreased supporting tissues and a larger restorative space between the maxillary and mandibular residual ridge. Rehabilitation in such cases may result in increased weight and height of the prosthesis further compromising its retention, support and stability. So, to prevent further resorption of ridges, the weight of the prosthesis needs to be reduced which can be achieved by making hollow prosthesis. This case report describes a novel technique of fabricating maxillary hollow maxillary complete denture.

Giant dorsolumbar spinal arachnoid cysts are a complex, poorly understood, and difficult to manage clinical entity. Traditional CT myelography is technically difficult to use in these cases to detect the site of leakage preoperatively. The authors report a novel technique for detecting the site of the leak by using sequential, dynamic intraoperative MR myelography. To the authors’ knowledge, there is no other similar report in the literature.
