Matthews [12] introduced a new distance P on a nonempty set X, which he called a partial metric. The purpose of this paper is to present some fixed point results for weakly contractive type mappings in ordered partial metric space. An application to nonlinear fractional boundary value problem is also presented.

In the present work, the concept of F-generalized contractive type mappings by using C-class functions is introduced, and some common fixed point results for weakly isotone increasing set-valued mappings in the setting of ordered partial metric spaces are studied. These results improve and generalize various results existing in the literature. The effectiveness of the obtained results is verified with the help of some comparative examples.

In this paper, we introduce the notion of S ∗ P ‐ b -partial metric spaces which is a generalization each of S ‐ b -metric spaces and partial-metric space. Also, we study and prove some topological properties, to know the convergence of the sequences and Cauchy sequence. Finally, we study a new common fixed point theorem in these spaces.

In S.G. Matthews [Partial metric topology, in: Proc. 8th Summer Conference on General Topology and Applications, in: Ann. New York Acad. Sci., vol. 728, 1994, pp. 183-197], the author introduced and studied the concept of partial metric space, and obtained a Banach type fixed point theorem on complete partial metric spaces. The present paper forms part of the study of possible extensions of metric fixed point results to the context of partial metric spaces, in particular two theorems due to Fisher. The theory is illustrated by some examples.

In this paper, using the concept of w-distance we prove some results on the existence of fixed points for contractive type operators, namely; (α, µ)-ψ-contractive operators. Applications are also presented. Our results improve and generalize a number of known results of fixed point theory including the recent results of Guran and Bota [ Guran, L. and Bota, M.-F., Ulam-Hyers Stability Problems for Fixed Point Theorems concerning α-ψ-Type Contractive Operators on KST-Spaces, Submitted in press.] and Ansari [Ansari, A. Many problems in pure and applied mathematics reduce to a problem of common fixed point of some self-mapping operators which are defined on metric spaces. One of the generalizations of metric spaces is the partial metric space in which self-distance of points need not to be zero but the property of symmetric and modified version of triangle inequality is satisfied. In this paper, some well-known results on common fixed point are investigated and generalized to the class of partial metric spaces.

In this paper, we prove the existence and uniqueness of a new Meir-Keeler type coupled fixed point theorem for two mappingsF:X×X→Xandg:X→Xon a partially ordered partial metric space. We present an application to illustrate our obtained results. Further, we remark that the metric case of our results proved recently in Gordji et al. (2012) have gaps. Therefore, our results revise and generalize some of those presented in Gordji et al. (2012).

In this paper, we introduce the notions of (F, φ , α - ψ )-contractions and (F, φ , α - ψ )-weak contractions in metric spaces and utilize the same to prove some existence and uniqueness φ -fixed point results. Some illustrative examples are given to demonstrate the usefulness and effectiveness of our results. As applications, we deduce some fixed point theorems in partial metric spaces besides proving an existence result on the solution of nonlinear differential equations. Our results extend, generalize and improve some relevant results of the existing literature.
