The genus Morphostenophanes Pic, 1925 is redefined and revised. Seventeen new species and three new subspecies are described, including M. aenescens yelang Zhou, new subspecies, M. bannaensis Zhou, new species, M. brevigaster Zhou, new species, M. chongli Zhou, new species, M. crassus Zhou, new species, M. furvus Zhou, new species, M. furvus weishanus Zhou, new subspecies, M. gaoligongensis Zhou, new species, M. iridescens Zhou, new species, M. lincangensis Zhou, new species, M. linglong Zhou, new species, M. metallicus Zhou, new species, M. minor, Zhou, new species, M. planus Zhou, new species, M. purpurascens Zhou, new species, M. sinicus Zhou, new species, and M. yunnanus Zhou, new species from Yunnan, China; M. chongli glaber Zhou, new subspecies from Yunnan, China and North Vietnam; M. curvitibialis Zhou, new species from Guangxi, China, and M. luoxiaoshanus Zhou, new species from Hunan, Hubei and Jiangxi, China. M. birmanicus (Kaszab, 1980) is recorded from China (Yunnan) for the first time. M. papillatus Kaszab, 1941 is firstly recorded from Yunnan and Sichuan, China. Two poorly known species, M. aenescens Pic, 1925 and M. vietnamicus Kaszab, 1980 are redescribed. Male of M. atavus (Kaszab, 1960) is described in detail. Misidentifications of M. aenescens Pic. 1925 and M. atavus (Kaszab, 1960) in previous works are corrected. Six species groups are proposed. A species catalog, identification key and distributional maps for the genus are given.

Two new species of the genus Laena Dejean, 1821 (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae: Lagriinae) are described from Hong Kong: Laena hongkongica sp. n. and Laena walkeri sp. n. These constitute the first record of the genus from Hong Kong, as a species previously described from nearby area Laena ovipennis Schuster, 1926, in fact originated from Zhejiang province nearby Shanghai. Both species from Hong Kong possess a wide variation in body length, which is quite unusual for this genus.

Ectromopsis merkli sp. n. (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae: Helopini) is described from Central Anatolia (coast of Eğirdir Lake). The species is the most similar to E. tantilla Ménétriés, 1848 from the Caspian depression (European Russia, West Kazakhstan) and differs in the body shape, structure of genae, the shape of pronotum and elytral punctation. Brief information about a relic type of distribution, trophic associations and adaptations of Ectromopsis spp. are given, as well as a key to species from the eastern part of the range. With seven figures.

Four new species of Laboulbeniales collected on insects in New Zealand are described and illustrated: Cucujomyces phycophilus sp.nov. parasitic on Macralymma brevipenne Cameron and Omaliomimus conicus (Fauvel) (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae: Omaliinae), Diaphoromyces kuschelii sp.nov. parasitic on Menimus spp. (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae), Diphymyces penicillifer sp.nov. parasitic on Stenomalium helmsii (Cameron) (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae: Omaliinae), and Stigmatomyces novozelandicus sp.nov. parasitic on Sapromyza neozealandica Tonnoir & Malloch (Diptera: Lauxanidae). All of the new species are compared with exiting taxa. In addition, Smeringomyces trinitatis Thaxt., Stigmatomyces purpureas Thaxt., and S. spiralis Thaxt. are recorded from New Zealand for the first time, and a review of the known species of Laboulbeniales from New Zealand is presented. Three new species of the genus Hexarhopalus Fairmaire, 1891 are described and figured from China: Hexarhopalus (Hexarhopalus) yunnanensis sp. nov. from Yunnan, Hexarhopalus (Hexarhopalus) zhuxiangi sp. nov. from Guangxi, and Hexarhopalus (Leprocaulus) nanlingensis sp. nov. from Guangdong. A revised key is provided to the species of Hexarhopalus from China.

A second species of the previously monotypic genus Cornucistela (C. anichtchenkoi sp. nov.) is described, illustrated and compared with C. serrata Campbell, 1980 (type species). It is a first record of the genus in Iran (South Khorasan Province).
