Los resultados muestran la pérdida de las prácticas de producción rural y las alternativas para independizarse y obtener una vivienda en la CRS.AbstractBronfenbrenner’s ecological model makes it possible to observe how various factors interact in a change of habitat and to understand the living adjustments made by the resettled population. This article explores the appropriation process after relocation in a sustainable rural city (SRC), Nuevo Juan del Grijalva, in Chiapas, Mexico. The results of a household survey are used to characterize the resettled population, and the spatial transformations and psychological appropriation of the resulting space when a new habitat is inhabited are analyzed. The results show the loss of rural production practices and alternatives for achieving independence and obtaining housing in the SRC.
