LetXbe a real normed space andYa Banach space andf:X→Y. We prove the Ulam-Hyers stability theorem for the quartic functional equationf(2x+y)+f(2x-y)-4f(x+y)-4f(x-y)-24f(x)+6f(y)=0in restricted domains. As a consequence we consider a measure zero stability problem of the above inequality whenf:R→Y.

In this article, we deal with stabilities of several functional equations in n-Banach spaces. For a surjective mapping f into a n-Banach space, we prove the generalized Hyers–Ulam stabilities of the cubic functional equation and the quartic functional equation for f in n-Banach spaces.

AbstractIn this article, we prove the generalized Hyers-Ulam stability for the following additive-quartic functional equation:f(x+3y)+f(x-3y)+f(x+2y)+f(x-2y)+22f(x)+24f(y)=13{[}f(x+y)+f(x-y)]+12f(2y),where f maps from an additive group to a complete non-Archimedean normed space.

In the current work, we introduce a general form of a mixed additive and quartic functional equation. We determine all solutions of this functional equation. We also establish the generalized Hyers-Ulam stability of this new functional equation in quasi-$\beta$-normed spaces.

We obtain the general solution and the generalized Ulam-Hyers stability of the mixed type cubic and quartic functional equationf(x+2y)+f(x−2y)=4(f(x+y)+f(x−y))−24f(y)−6f(x)+3f(2y)in quasi-Banach spaces.
