In this paper, as a background for original monitoring project of the second power plant of Baotou , put forward a new design concept power plant real-time intelligent monitoring Web server and the far scheduling system based on the net framework , researched the function of the remote monitoring .The development of Software based on the VS.NET platform, adapted the c #language, SQLSERVER2005 database, the force control configuration software, based on the development of the three layer structure, and as the new ways of substation automation management for the monitoring system of the background image remote monitoring system .Completed the work for remote monitoring . Realize the process for intelligent monitoring.

Research status of state monitoring technology for air compressor and existing problems were analyzed, meanwhile, the necessity of designing a remote monitoring system was discussed in the paper. On the basis of analyzing the air compressor’s working principle, a remote monitoring system for air compressors was constructed by King-view configuration software, according to the technology of Ethernet and computer communication. With this system, real-time remote monitoring of compressors’ state and related operation parameters was realized; in addition, the latent faults of compressors on working could be predicted and warned. And that the efficiency of air compressors is improved, and the accidents of air compressors are avoided efficiently.

The previous measuring methods have the disadvantages of big workload, inaccuracy, high expenses and so on. A set of remote monitoring system that monitors soil moisture is developed by configuration software. This system makes online monitoring soil moisture, dynamic display of real-time data, historical data query and remote access come true. The test results in Haikou show that the system not only meets the requirements of monitoring soil moisture, but also is featured with good stability, accurate data and data sharing. It can be applied in many fields when changing the necessary sensors. The system is scalable and low-cost.
