The geological and geodynamic conditions for the formation of significant fields of HC within the foot of the northern continental slope of the Black Sea are considered on basis of the cyclical processes of Earth’s crust development taking into account the hydrocarbons (HC) inorganic origin concept. It is shown that this foot is subdivided into the western and eastern parts (the Sorokin’s depression), which are differ essentially from one another. The statement is justified about good prospectivity for significant hydrocarbon deposits inside the western part of the foot of continental slope.

In May and October 2017, expeditionary research was carried out in the area of Gelendzhik in the Black Sea at the R/V «Ashamba». The main tasks were the mapping of the seabed and the search for small-sized objects at the bottom of the water area using a WASSP WMB-3250 multibeam echo sounder. Surveys included areal surveying and drawing up bathymetric maps of test sites in Gelendzhik Bay and in the transition zone from the shelf to the continental slope. In addition, the echo sounder was used to search and determine the exact coordinates of the bottom seismograph installed at the seabed near the Divnomorskoye village in May 2016. The article presents the results of the work carried out.

<p>The modern gravimetric equipment allows to register very small effects of gravity field changes and can be applied solving different geological, geophysical and environmental problems. However, sometimes insufficient calculation of various kinds of geological noise complicates effective application of detailed gravity field analysis. One of such factors is the temperature regime over and outside different buried objects of investigation. In this paper temperature changes in a subvertical zone over a hydrocarbon deposit and outside its contour are analyzed. The integrated density change and corresponding gravity effects are calculated for the Muradkhanly oil deposit situated within the south-east part of the Middle Kura Depression (central Azerbaijan). Calculation of these effects on the basis of density- temperature data correlation analysis could significantly improve the microgravity field examination over the hydrocarbon deposits. The similar correction procedure may be applied also over underground water horizons and some environmental targets.</p>
