Verrucous psoriasis is a rare variant of plaque-type psoriasis with only about 35 cases reported. The authors reported a man with a history of psoriasis vulgaris for seven years, presented with progressive verrucous hyperkeratotic plaques on both legs for three years. His earlier investigations favored the diagnosis of tuberculosis verrucosa cutis. After completing the antituberculous therapy, the lesions persisted. The later investigations favored a rare subtype of psoriasis named verrucous psoriasis. Keywords: Verrucous psoriasis, Tuberculosis verrucosa cutis, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Ixekixumab

Pharyngeal injuries caused by trauma are common and have been reported previously in the medical literature. In some cases of a penetrating injury there is a collection of air in the retropharyngeal space that can be shown on lateral soft tissue radiography of the neck. If this condition is not diagnosed or adequately treated the patient may develop severe complications such as mediastinitis. A case is reported of a patient with penetrating injury caused by a pencil and the subsequent treatment with review literature are described.

Gossypiboma is a dreaded event in surgical expertise. We report a case of post hemithyroidectomy gossypiboma removed 4 years post primary surgery. Initially suspecting it to be a tubercular abscess and fistula, we surprisingly found a surgical gauze on neck exploration. To understand the magnitude of this problem we assembled data on reported gossypibomas post neck surgeries. A detailed search of literature revealed 16 publications (20 cases) with varied clinical picture and differentials. Our case is only the fourth published case wherein there is such a long-standing history and the first to assemble data and review literature on exclusive neck gossypibomas. Although, neck is regarded as a confined cavity with very few obvious crevices where foreign body can be left behind iatrogenically; still, gossypiboma needs to be kept as a differential, especially with a previous surgical history.
