Castor summer rape (Brassica napus L.) is a high-erucic acid rapeseed cultivar with canola-quality meal. Castor has an average 4% yield advantage over Mercury rapeseed and is 4 g kg−1 higher in seed oil than Mercury. Castor is adapted to the southern B. napus growing regions of western Canada.
