Results of measuring the conductivity of electrolytes with ionic liquids (IL) based on quaternary ammonium salts, promising for innovative lithium-sulfur batteries are presented. The conductivity of IL in a propylene carbonate-dimethylformamide mixture is 5.2·10-4. Sm/cm depending on the solvent ratio. The presence of lithium salt leads to higher values up to 8.9·10-3 Sm/cm.

Five novel deep eutectic ionic liquids were prepared from relatively simple quaternary ammonium salts and imidazole. All of these salts are liquids at room temperature, and are steady up to 150°C. They exhibit low viscosities and moderate conductivities at low temperature. Especially, Bu4NCl-IM is a green alternative solvent in Sonogashira reaction with good catalytic activity.

The equivalent conductivities of tetramethylammonium iodide, tetraethylammonium iodide, and tetra-n-propylammonium iodide in acetone solution were determined at concentrations from 1 to 10 × 10−4 mole/liter and at temperatures of 25 to 55 °C and pressures from atmospheric to 1.1 kbar. The concentration dependence of the equivalent conductivities was analyzed by the Shedlovsky method. Limiting equivalent conductivities and ion-pair dissociation constants are tabulated.
