The digital thread for cybersecurity enables security technologies and data sources to interoperate. It consists of an integrated collection of languages, taxonomies, and metrics represented using the Extensible Markup Language (XML). A current gap in the cybersecurity digital thread is the lack of good software for tailoring the security controls found in National Institute of Standards and Technology's (NIST) Special Publication (SP) 800-53, and exporting the result in a structured XML format. An application built using XForms demonstrated success in providing a specialized user interface for tailoring security controls, enforcing NIST SP 800-53 tailoring guidelines, and in generating XML content suitable for automated processing by other cybersecurity tools.

A Feynman diagram generator, named FeynChois, is described. It provides the user with a full GUI (Graphical User Interface) environment which enables the generation diagrams automatically with several mouse operations. The diagram generator is built on an Application Programming Interface (API) called ViewableBeans which provides a framework for programming graphically representable objects. We also present a means for describing Feynman rules in a computer friendly manner using the XML (Extensible Markup Language) format.

Abstract:A Template Definition Language (TDL) was developed to share knowledge of how to construct an electronic patient record (EPR) template. Based on the extensible markup language XML, TDL has been designed to be independent of EPR platforms or databases. Our research of TDL was conducted through evaluation of the description of various templates in the currently available EPRs and through comparisons with some electronic clinical guidelines. We conclude that TDL is sufficient for the objective but still needs improvement of the algorithm for describing dynamic changes.
