For the complex terrain, in long-distance slurry pipeline, the core equipment of the running pipeline - valve monitoring is particularly important. This paper based on the actual running conditions of Yunnan Dahongshan pipeline, developed an intelligent valve control system. Valve monitoring and management can be seen in this system, which combines software programming, measurement technology, communication networks, as well as order management, fault management, spare parts management, query statistics. Getting running parameters rely on the monitoring system, and then for the mathematical model of solid traffic in slurry pipeline transportation, the slurry weight can be measured. The system achieved valve monitoring and management very well, improving the long-distance slurry pipeline running reliability.

We have developed an annotated logic program called an Extended Vector Annotated Logic Program with Strong Negation (abbr. EVALPSN), which can deal with defeasible deontic reasoning and contradiction. We have already applied EVALPSN to safety verification and control such as railway interlocking safety verification. In this paper, we show how to apply EVALPSN to pipeline valve control with an example for brewery pipeline valve control. The safety verification control is based on EVALPSN programming to avoid unexpected mix of different sorts of liquid.

As a flexible AC transmission system equipment, controlled shunt reactor is becoming increasingly important in the grid with the development of EHV / UHV transmission systems. Since currently rated voltage of controlled shunt reactor has developed to 1100kV, as its capacity control system, or valve-control system, stability and reliability test is very important. In this paper, the test circuit and method for the valve-control system in the laboratory or the test station for combined adjustment test is put forward. By adjustment of power supply and the device parameter, the valve-control system can put the voltage and current of the device to be the same as the on-set operation. Actual test of the world's first 1100kV controlled shunt reactor valve-control system shows that, the test method in this paper is correct and feasible, and the objective of assessment can be achieved.
