All species of Odontoscelio Kieffer, 1905 are imaged, with keys provided to all known males and females in this genus. Two new species, O. agnieleae sp. nov. and O. spinosus sp. nov., are described from India. The generic concept of the genus Odontoscelio is discussed. The presence of axillular spines differentiates this genus from other teleasines such as Dvivarnus Rajmohana & Veenakumari, 2011, Gryonoides Dodd, 1920 and the Trimorus carus (Nixon, 1936) species group, which possess lateral mesoscutellar spines.

The Bothynus entellus (LePeletier & Serville) (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae: Dynastinae: Pentodontini) species group is reviewed with redescriptions, diagnoses, illustrations, and separate identification keys to males and females. Distribution maps for all species in this species group are presented for the first time. Furthermore, two new species, Bothynus araya Duarte & Grossi new species and Bothynus condacki Duarte & Grossi new species, are described.

The Pegomya terminalis species group is redefined on the basis of the characteristic, exceptionally long and apically strongly depressed female oviscapt. A North American species has once been reared from horsetail (Equisetum sp.), and it is believed that all the species in this group as larvae feed on this unusual diet. The present paper reviews the known Palaearctic species with an identification key to males and females, illustrated descriptions and new records. The number of known species is raised from two to four with descriptions of two new species: P. glabroides sp. nov. from Norway, Sweden, Finland and France and P. skulei sp. nov. from Greece. A fifth undescribed species from Turkey is keyed and discussed. The P. terminalis species group is known with certainty only from the western part of the Palaearctic Region, where most species are confined to the southern, Mediterranean parts. Elsewhere, the species group is represented by 5– 6 endemic species in North America and one unnamed species in South Africa.

We provide data on the distribution of 23 big-headed fly species (Diptera: Brachycera: Pipunculidae) from Fars province, southern Iran. Two new species of the genus Tomosvaryella Aczél, T. angulata sp. nov. and T. pistacia sp. nov., are described and illustrated. The new species show a clear morphological affiliation to the T. congoana species-group that was hitherto only known from the Afrotropical region. Nine species recorded herein represent first records for Iran. The number of pipunculid species recorded from Iran is now raised to 30. By DNA barcoding of the mitochondrial COI gene, males and females could be unequivocally associated with each other for most species.

The genus Pholcus Walckenaer, 1805 is reported from Pakistan for the first time. Two new species of the Pholcus nenjukovi species-group are described: Pholcus hamuchal Yao & Li sp. nov. (Gilgit Baltistan, male and female) and Pholcus kalam Yao & Li sp. nov. (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, male and female). Type material is deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IZCAS) in Beijing, China.

Two new species of the genus Olophrum Erichson, 1839 of the laxum group are described and illustrated: O. lama Shavrin, sp.n. (Nepal: Rolwaling Himal) and O. schuelkei Shavrin, sp.n. (China: Shaanxi). Olophrum laxum Shavrin & Smetana, 2017 from Yunnan and O. pacei Shavrin & Smetana, 2017 from Shaanxi and Hubei provinces of China are recorded for the first time. A modified key of the laxum group is provided.

This study presents the first records of the subfamily Lestremiinae and the genus Insulestremia Jaschhof in Brazil. Insulestremia, a previously monotypic genus described from the Galapagos Islands, has three species in Brazil: I. sinclairi Jaschhof, I. amorimi sp. nov. and I. amenti sp. nov. The new species are described, the generic concept is reviewed, and a key to the species of Insulestremia is provided.
