Abstract OPCL Coupling of Integer-order and fractional-order Sprott-A systems using off-shelf components are constructed. Fractance configurations such as chain-type and tree-type were designed using a fractional-order capacitor and fractional-order resistor, respectively. The simulation results of the coupled circuits reveal the transition between complete synchronization (CS) to Anti-synchronization (AS) and vice versa via Amplitude death (AD).

AbstractThe capability of magnetic induction to transmit signals in attenuating environments has recently gained significant research interest. The wave aspect—magnetoinductive (MI) waves—has been proposed for numerous applications in RF-challenging environments, such as underground/underwater wireless networks, body area networks, and in-vivo medical diagnosis and treatment applications, to name but a few, where conventional electromagnetic waves have a number of limitations, most notably losses. To date, the effects of eddy currents inside the dissipative medium have not been characterised analytically. Here we propose a comprehensive circuit model of coupled resonators in a homogeneous dissipative medium, that takes into account all the electromagnetic effects of eddy currents, and, thereby, derive a general dispersion equation for the MI waves. We also report laboratory experiments to confirm our findings. Our work will serve as a fundamental model for design and analysis of every system employing MI waves or more generally, magnetically-coupled circuits in attenuating media.

Purpose This paper aims to study unstructured-partial element equivalent circuit (PEEC) method for modelling electromagnetic regions with surface impedance condition (SIBC) is proposed. Two coupled circuits representations are used for solving both electric and/or magnetic effects in thin regions discretized by a finite element surface mesh. The formulation is applied in the context of low frequency problems with volumic magnetic media and coils. Non simply connected regions are treated with fundamental branch independent loop matrices coming from the circuit representation. Design/methodology/approach Because of the use of Whitney face elements, two coupled circuits representations are used for solving both electric and/or magnetic effects in thin regions discretized by a finite element surface mesh. The air is not meshed. Findings The new surface impedance formulation enables the modeling of volume conductive regions to efficiently simulate various devices with only a surface mesh. Research limitations/implications The propagation effects are not taken into account in the proposed formulation. Originality/value The formulation is original and is efficient for modeling non simply connected conductive regions with the use of SIBC. The unstructured PEEC SIBC formulation has been validated in presence of volume magnetic nonconductive region and compared with a SIBC FEM approach. The computational effort is considerably reduced in comparison with volume approaches.

Diagnostic goal of transformers in service is to detect the winding or the core in fault. Transformers are valuable equipment which makes a major contribution to the supply security of a power system. Consequently, it is of great importance to disequilibria the three phases courant of power transformers. So, vector diagram Analysis is useful tool for reliable detection of incipient mechanical fault in a transformer, by finding winding or core defects. The authors propose this article, the coupled circuits method, because, it gives most possible exhaustive modelling of transformers. Measurement courant homopolaire in order to improve and simplify the response for à faults transformer. This study can be useful as a base data for the other transformers of the same categories intended for distribution grid.  Keywords—Diagnostic; Short-Circuit; Transformer Faults; unbalanced current.
