Contrary to many short-term accommodation operators (STAs), short-term accommodations in Malaysia are subjected to laws relating to land and town planning. In the light of the ignorance of the STA operators about the legal aspects of STAs and complaints received by both the industry players (registered hoteliers) and the general community at large, this paper addresses the elements of an express condition of the land, usage of the property and licensing of the STAs in Malaysia. This paper uses the library-based approach, where the analysis of relevant legislation, newspaper report, decided cases, and journal articles are made. A comparative study with selected states in the U.S.A is made concerning the legal status of the short-term rentals.

Section 86 of the National Credit Act 34 of 2005 (NCA) provides for the debt relief mechanism envisaged in section 3(g) of the Act by affording the overindebted consumer the opportunity to apply to a debt counsellor for a review of the credit agreements to which he or she is a party and eventually to be declared over-indebted by the court. The effectiveness of the debt review process obviously depends on a positive working relationship between all role players, namely the over-indebted consumer, credit providers and debt counsellor, but also on the extent in which the legislator has succeeded to regulate all aspects of the said process properly. According to a recent newspaper report more than 58 000 consumers have applied for debt review in terms of section 86. However, hardly any of these cases have managed to proceed through our courts. Apart from the lack of co-operation between the said role players, it iscommonly accepted that legislative gaps contribute to the ineffectiveness of the debt counselling process. In First Rand Bank v Smith (unreported case no 24208/08 (WLD)) the court, however, indicated a lacuna in the Act which, it is submitted, was not in actual factpresent in the Act.

Natural calamities like earthquake, flood ,volcanic eruptions , landslides ,avalanches ,etc are unavoidable circumstances .Occurance of such natural ailments is unpredictablecausing huge damageto resources and structures which is unavoidable .Measurement, eleventh hour detection, precautionary and rescue methods are onlypossible options .A proper rescue can do milestones in savinglife of people under such circumstances. In messina region of Newyork death tolls were 5000 during earthquake, nearly halfthe population. In Utharkhand during 2013 a landslide caused lots of people buried under earth. Newspaper report stated that if people were detected earlier death tolls would have been quite low. In this paper we design a rescue robotic platform which can act more quickly in detection location mapping diagnosing status post earthquake, avalanches andlandslides. The robot platformdesigned isfor disastermanagementsystemduringavalanches ,earthquakes , and landslidesfor accurate andfasterdetectionofhuman trapped inside without live interaction and notcausingdamagedue to increasedload of rescuer onthemwhiledetectionusinga robotic platformcontrolled remotely

Eliot Howard presented his theory of territory in the nine-part The British warblers published between 1907 and 1914. He is generally considered to have been unaware of significant earlier accounts of this theory, in particular by Altum and by Moffat in 1903 in The Irish naturalist. This periodical was perhaps little read outside Ireland, but Howard's wife came from Donegal, and his regular birdwatching there make early familiarity probable. In 1904, he began planning an ambitious work on warblers that would draw attention to supposed defects in the theory of sexual selection. Probably hastened by Selous highlighting sexual selection in The zoologist in 1906, part one of The British warblers in 1907 carried a forthright attack on Darwin's theory. Territory was first mentioned in part two in 1908, but without elaboration, after Selous in 1907 described the Ruff's territory on its assembly ground. In November 1910, in part five of The British warblers, after Selous that year had stressed territory on Eurasian Black Grouse leks, Howard's writing became more focused, and a “law of territory” was stated to be widespread in birds: males struggle, not for females, but for territory, and if won, a mate is won also. Many common features point to the crucial influence of Moffat's article on the theory proposed by Howard. His awareness of Moffat's work is further evidenced by a newspaper report found among his papers, about a Dublin lecture in January 1910 by R. M. Barrington, who stated that Moffat's theory was supported by Howard.

In this article, we examine dark humour in Internet posts commenting on an online Italian newspaper report published by Il Fatto Quotidiano and devoted to the 2016 terrorist attack in Nice. The analysis focuses on the linguistic forms and socio-pragmatic functions of this dark humour in the wake of the tragedy. We argue that the creative humorous posts are meant to communicate Internet users’ ideologies conceptualised as their true beliefs about the sociopolitical situation and that they are oriented primarily towards criticising terrorism-related themes, notably: inept security enforcement, radical Islam, political and public reactions and integration policies. The humour in the Italian posts is used as a means of displaying Internet users’ wit and attracting other users’ attention.
