A single crystal of nickel chloride hexahydrate was obtained by isothermal evaporation from an aqueous saturated solution. The transmission spectrum parameters and the thermal stability of the sample were studied.
An efficient, safe and one-pot convenient catalytic system has been developed for the reduction of alkenes using NaBH4–NiCl2·6H2O in EtOH/PEG-400 under mild conditions.
Hierarchical flower-like nickel hydroxychloride microspheres were prepared by forced hydrolysis reaction of nickel chloride hexahydrate in ethanol via a facile template-free solvothermal process.
