L’evolució de les bèsties. A propòsit del Bestiari de Pere Quart i les Histoires naturelles de Jules Renard

This paper has two aims: on the one hand, to compare Joan Oliver’s Bestiari with works such as Bestiaire ou cortège d’Orphée by Guillaume Apollinaire (1911), “Bestiario” by Ramón del Valle-Inclán (in La Pipa de Kif, 1919), The animaux et leurs hommes. The hommes et leurs animaux by Paul Éluard (1920) and, above all, Histoires naturelles by Jules Renard (1896), in search of possible influences and coincidences. The other aim is to classify and analyze the poems in order to clarify the intention with which Oliver wrotethe Bestiari and to relate it to the didactic and moral purpose of medieval Bestiaries and ancient Fables.

Duvivier, Julien (1896–1967)

Julien Duvivier was a Golden Age French film director active from the 1919 to the 1960s. He made a name for himself in the 1930s as the director of a series of films treating people on the down and out with a light touch. In Poil de carotte (1932), based on the novel by Jules Renard, a redheaded boy shunned by his parents makes his way in the world. Le paquebot Tenacity (S.S. Tenacity, 1934) shows two adventurers stuck in port trying to make their way to Canada (where there is less competition than in the United States), but falling in love in the meantime. In Un carnet de bal (Dance Program, 1937), a melodramatic mixture of pathos and comedy, a woman tracks down the men from her first dance card twenty years earlier.

BENTUK DAN FUNGSI SAPAAN BAHASA PRANCIS DALAM NOVEL POIL DE CAROTTE KARYA JULES RENARD

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: 1) bentuk-bentuk sapaan dalam novel Poil de Carotte karya Jules Renard dan 2) fungsi kata-kata sapaan dalam novel tersebut. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah semua kata, frasa, kalimat, dan ungkapan-ungkapan yang mengandung sapaan yang ada di dalam novel Poil de Carotte karya Jules Renard. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi. Analisis data menggunakan metode distribusional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) bentuk sapaan yang ditemukan dalam novel Poil de Carotte karya Jules Renard berkategori: nomina: (a) nomina nama diri (nama depan, nama belakang, dan nama panggilan), (b) nomina umum (nom propre), pronomina, ajektiva, dan kombinasi, dan (2) fungsi sapaan dalam novel Poil de Carotte dapat diklasi ikasikan menjadi 2, yaitu sebagai tanda masih adanya hubungan (fungsi fatik), dan sebagai alat pengontrol interaksi, ditandai dengan adanya interaksi antartokoh dalam melakukan tindak tutur untuk menyuruh, menolak, mengungkapkan perasaan, menegaskan, meminta kesediaan/meminta tolong/meminta sesuatu, menjawab, memohon, menyanggupi, merajuk, merayu, menyindir, meyakinkan, mengejek, dan mengkritik

Récit d’enfance et populisme dans Éducation barbare de Claire Goll

Cet article propose une relecture d’un roman de Claire Goll (1890-1977), Éducation barbare (1941), à la lumière des idées sur le roman populiste développées par Léon Lemonnier au tournant des années 1930. Nous y montrons que le motif de l’enfant persécuté, fortement inspiré du classique de Jules Renard, Poil de Carotte, permet à Goll de participer à la tradition du roman réaliste français sans tomber dans ce qui passait alors, aux yeux de Lemonnier, pour les excès du naturalisme.
