Eritrichium aktonense Y.S.Lian & J.Q.Wang described from Aketao in southern Xinjiang is conspecific with E. subjacquemontii, a very widely spread and highly variable species in Pamirs, central Asia. We propose to synonymize Eritrichium aktonense with E. subjaquemontii.
Buchanania yunnanensis was published based on a specimen consisting of a flowering branch without any leaves or fruits. Examination of morphological characters based on type specimens and our newly collected materials has shown that B. yunnanensis was incorrectly placed in Buchanania. At the time of description, and indicates that it is actually conspecific with Spondias pinnata. It is here reduced to a synonym of the latter species.
Nomenclature history related to the name Phacelurus speciosus has been discussed here. In absence of any original material a neotype is designated for the name P. speciosus. Additionally, the newly described species Rottboellia husainii is treated as a synonym of Phacelurus speciosus.
