In this paper, the necessary and sufficient conditions for the product of composition operators to be isometry are obtained on weighted Bergman space. With the help of a counter example we also proved that unlike on [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] the composition operator on [Formula: see text] induced by an analytic self-map on [Formula: see text] with fixed origin need not be of norm one. We have generalized the Schwartz’s [Composition operators on [Formula: see text], thesis, University of Toledo (1969)] well-known result on [Formula: see text] which characterizes the almost multiplicative operator on [Formula: see text]

This concise monograph explores how core ideas in Hardy space function theory and operator theory continue to be useful and informative in new settings, leading to new insights for noncommutative multivariable operator theory. Beginning with a review of the confluence of system theory ideas and reproducing kernel techniques, the book then covers representations of backward-shift-invariant subspaces in the Hardy space as ranges of observability operators, and representations for forward-shift-invariant subspaces via a Beurling–Lax representer equal to the transfer function of the linear system. This pair of backward-shift-invariant and forward-shift-invariant subspace form a generalized orthogonal decomposition of the ambient Hardy space. All this leads to the de Branges–Rovnyak model theory and characteristic operator function for a Hilbert space contraction operator. The chapters that follow generalize the system theory and reproducing kernel techniques to enable an extension of the ideas above to weighted Bergman space multivariable settings.

AbstractFor $1\le p<\infty $ 1 ≤ p < ∞ , let $A^{p}_{\omega }$ A ω p be the weighted Bergman space associated with an exponential type weight ω satisfying $$ \int _{{\mathbb{D}}} \bigl\vert K_{z}(\xi ) \bigr\vert \omega (\xi )^{1/2} \,dA(\xi ) \le C \omega (z)^{-1/2}, \quad z\in {\mathbb{D}}, $$ ∫ D | K z ( ξ ) | ω ( ξ ) 1 / 2 d A ( ξ ) ≤ C ω ( z ) − 1 / 2 , z ∈ D , where $K_{z}$ K z is the reproducing kernel of $A^{2}_{\omega }$ A ω 2 . This condition allows us to obtain some interesting reproducing kernel estimates and more estimates on the solutions of the ∂̅-equation (Theorem 2.5) for more general weight $\omega _{*}$ ω ∗ . As an application, we prove the boundedness of the Bergman projection on $L^{p}_{\omega }$ L ω p , identify the dual space of $A^{p}_{\omega }$ A ω p , and establish an atomic decomposition for it. Further, we give necessary and sufficient conditions for the boundedness and compactness of some operators acting from $A^{p}_{\omega }$ A ω p into $A^{q}_{\omega }$ A ω q , $1\le p,q<\infty $ 1 ≤ p , q < ∞ , such as Toeplitz and (big) Hankel operators.

AbstractBounded and compact differences of two composition operators acting from the weighted Bergman space $$A^p_\omega $$ A ω p to the Lebesgue space $$L^q_\nu $$ L ν q , where $$0<q<p<\infty $$ 0 < q < p < ∞ and $$\omega $$ ω belongs to the class "Equation missing" of radial weights satisfying two-sided doubling conditions, are characterized. On the way to the proofs a new description of q-Carleson measures for $$A^p_\omega $$ A ω p , with $$p>q$$ p > q and "Equation missing", involving pseudohyperbolic discs is established. This last-mentioned result generalizes the well-known characterization of q-Carleson measures for the classical weighted Bergman space $$A^p_\alpha $$ A α p with $$-1<\alpha <\infty $$ - 1 < α < ∞ to the setting of doubling weights. The case "Equation missing" is also briefly discussed and an open problem concerning this case is posed.

AbstractIn this paper, we obtain some interesting reproducing kernel estimates and some Carleson properties that play an important role. We characterize the bounded and compact Toeplitz operators on the weighted Bergman spaces with Békollé-Bonami weights in terms of Berezin transforms. Moreover, we estimate the essential norm of them assuming that they are bounded.

Abstract We characterise bounded and compact generalised weighted composition operators acting from the weighted Bergman space $A^p_\omega $ , where $0<p<\infty $ and $\omega $ belongs to the class $\mathcal {D}$ of radial weights satisfying a two-sided doubling condition, to a Lebesgue space $L^q_\nu $ . On the way, we establish a new embedding theorem on weighted Bergman spaces $A^p_\omega $ which generalises the well-known characterisation of the boundedness of the differentiation operator $D^n(f)=f^{(n)}$ from the classical weighted Bergman space $A^p_\alpha $ to the Lebesgue space $L^q_\mu $ , induced by a positive Borel measure $\mu $ , to the setting of doubling weights.

AbstractCompact differences of two weighted composition operators acting from the weighted Bergman space $$A^p_{\omega }$$ A ω p to another weighted Bergman space $$A^q_{\nu }$$ A ν q , where $$0<p\le q<\infty $$ 0 < p ≤ q < ∞ and $$\omega ,\nu $$ ω , ν belong to the class $${\mathcal {D}}$$ D of radial weights satisfying two-sided doubling conditions, are characterized. On the way to the proof a new description of q-Carleson measures for $$A^p_{\omega }$$ A ω p , with $$\omega \in {\mathcal {D}}$$ ω ∈ D , in terms of pseudohyperbolic discs is established. This last-mentioned result generalizes the well-known characterization of q-Carleson measures for the classical weighted Bergman space $$A^p_{\alpha }$$ A α p with $$-1<\alpha <\infty $$ - 1 < α < ∞ to the setting of doubling weights.
