The coordinated development of territorial spatial functions is the main manifestation of the sustainable utilization of territorial resources. Identifying spatial functions and their coordinated relationship has become an important guarantee for regional coordinated development, and is of great significance to the construction of a sustainable land development and protection pattern. This study constructs a classification and function scoring system for Production-Living-Ecological Spaces (PLES) by using land-use data from Gansu Province in 2000 and 2020, and revises the spatial functions of the land to supplement the deficiencies of existing related researches by combining socio-economic data (GDP, population density) and ecosystem service value data. In the aforementioned works, the Mechanical Equilibrium Model in physics is referenced to explore the coordinated state among territorial spatial functions. The results show that the high-value areas of production function are mainly distributed in the eastern and central areas of the Loess Plateau, with a strip-like distribution in the Hexi Corridor. The high-value areas of living function are consistent with that in the center of the city. The distribution of high-value areas of ecological function is in line with the topographic distribution pattern of mountainous areas in Gansu Province. The distribution pattern of the coordinated state of land space function in Gansu Province is relatively stable from 2000 to 2020. Simultaneously, the functional dominant area and the promotion area are identified according to the deviation of the coordinated degree of production-living-ecological function. After clarifying the functional characteristics of each county, the author proposes a differentiated regulation strategy of territorial spatial function.

This concise monograph explores how core ideas in Hardy space function theory and operator theory continue to be useful and informative in new settings, leading to new insights for noncommutative multivariable operator theory. Beginning with a review of the confluence of system theory ideas and reproducing kernel techniques, the book then covers representations of backward-shift-invariant subspaces in the Hardy space as ranges of observability operators, and representations for forward-shift-invariant subspaces via a Beurling–Lax representer equal to the transfer function of the linear system. This pair of backward-shift-invariant and forward-shift-invariant subspace form a generalized orthogonal decomposition of the ambient Hardy space. All this leads to the de Branges–Rovnyak model theory and characteristic operator function for a Hilbert space contraction operator. The chapters that follow generalize the system theory and reproducing kernel techniques to enable an extension of the ideas above to weighted Bergman space multivariable settings.

This study aims to verify which the performance-based design was successfully applied in the construction of the main exhibition hall of the first Hebei Garden Expo, China. Based on the idea of “equality and connectivity” among humans, buildings, and the environment, the exhibition hall was designed using digital shape generation technology, and a special double-skin structure was selected. A bright exterior glass curtain wall separated from the cell-shaped reinforced concrete (RC) structure, not only made the exhibition hall fit into the scenery so well, but also presented an adhesion area with functional links to the RC structure. Joints of the steel tubular truss and the glass curtain wall were optimally designed by means of finite element simulations. During the service of more than a decade, extension of space, function of interactivity, and energy conservation required for a green infrastructure were achieved, highlighting the ecological connectivity of the exhibition hall with the surrounding landscape. The exhibition hall performed synergy of structure and architecture functions and it is still a landmark building in Shijiazhuang, showing an excellent application achievement of the performance-based design.

Abstract Background Low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) metabolic disorder is common in individuals with diabetes. The role of LDL-C in mild cognitive impairment (MCI) remains to be explored. We aim to investigate the associations between LDL-C at different levels and details of cognition decline in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Methods Patients with T2DM (n = 497) were recruited. Clinical parameters and neuropsychological tests were compared between patients with MCI and controls. Goodness of fit was assessed to determine the linear or U-shaped relationship between LDL-C and cognitive function. The cut-off point of LDL-C was calculated. Correlation and regression were carried out to explore the relationship between cognitive dysfunction and LDL-C levels above and below the cut-off point. Results Although no significant difference in LDL-C levels was detected in 235 patients with MCI, compared with 262 patients without MCI, inverted-U-shaped association was determined between LDL-C and Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA). The cut-off point of LDL-C is 2.686 mmol/l. LDL-C (>2.686 mmol/l) is positively related to Trail Making Test B (TMTB) indicating executive function. LDL-C (<2.686 mmol/l) is positively associated with Clock Drawing Test (CDT) reflecting visual space function in patients with T2DM. Conclusion Inverted U-shaped correlation was found between serum LDL-C and cognitive function in patients with T2DM. Despite that the mechanisms of different LDL-C levels involved in special cognitive dysfunctions remain incompletely clarified, excessive LDL-C damages executive function, while the deficient LDL-C impairs visual space function. Abstract We study local quark-hadron duality and its violation for the $$ {D}^0-{\overline{D}}^0 $$ D 0 − D ¯ 0 , $$ {B}_d^0-{\overline{B}}_d^0 $$ B d 0 − B ¯ d 0 and $$ {B}_s^0-{\overline{B}}_s^0 $$ B s 0 − B ¯ s 0 mixings in the ’t Hooft model, offering a laboratory to test QCD in two-dimensional spacetime together with the large-Nc limit. With the ’t Hooft equation being numerically solved, the width difference is calculated as an exclusive sum over two-body decays. The obtained rate is compared to inclusive one that arises from four-quark operators to check the validity of the heavy quark expansion (HQE). In view of the observation in four-dimensions that the HQE prediction for the width difference in the $$ {D}^0-{\overline{D}}^0 $$ D 0 − D ¯ 0 mixing is four orders of magnitude smaller than the experimental data, in this work we investigate duality violation in the presence of the GIM mechanism. We show that the order of magnitude of the observable in the $$ {D}^0-{\overline{D}}^0 $$ D 0 − D ¯ 0 mixing is enhanced in the exclusive analysis relative to the inclusive counterpart, when the 4D-like phase space function is used for the inclusive analysis. By contrast, it is shown that for the $$ {B}_d^0-{\overline{B}}_d^0 $$ B d 0 − B ¯ d 0 and $$ {B}_s^0-{\overline{B}}_s^0 $$ B s 0 − B ¯ s 0 mixings, small yet non-negligible corrections to the inclusive result emerge, which are still consistent with what is currently indicated in four-dimensions.

Policies and strategies for the construction of flats have been launched in various cities, one of which is in Pontianak which is intended for the general public and students. One of the Rusunawa in Pontianak is the Tanjungpura University Flat which is rented out for students which was built in 2009. Based on this, it is necessary to carry out a Post-Work Evaluation of the building that has been used for some time. This study aims to identify and evaluate the Rusunawa building of Tanjungpura University in terms of functional aspects and its application in design solutions. The research approach used is qualitative and quantitative research. The research method used is spatial syntax and place-centred mapping. The results showed that the results of connectivity analysis in spatial syntax showed low values in the drying room and kitchen area and integration analysis on spatial syntax showed low values in building circulation areas 1, 2, 3, and 4. Place centered mapping data showed activity. That residents routinely do on the building. This indicates a change in the function of space and affects the dimensions of space. The post-occupancy evaluation shows a change in the function of space, access to circulation, and the dimensions of space in the building. Based on the results of post-occupancy analysis and evaluation, the design proposal also focuses on variables with functional aspects, namely circulation, dimensions, flexibility and changes in space function.

Historical areas that support tourism activities will always adapt to match the complexity of tourism needs in the last few decades. The uniqueness of Kotagede is that there are traditional settlements of silver craftsmen's (Javanese: Abdi Dalem Kriya). The history of silver craftsmen's settlement has been formed since the Dutch colonial era and has survived until now as a characteristic of Kotagede. Silver craftsmen in Kotagede have a dilemma to survive for SMEs home-based or adapt to sell products to a larger scale industry. The research objectives are to determine whether or not there is a change in the settlement function caused by the silver home-based industry activities and to what extent the change has occurred. The method used is a quantitative method with a positivistic paradigm and uses descriptive analysis for data interpretation. Statistical data analysis used multivariate linear regression (SPSS V26). In this study, it was found that there was an effect of Silver home-based Industry Activities on change in residential space function with the low significance of 25.6 % while 74.4 % was thought to be influenced by other activities outside the research model. Partially, the highest variable effect on settlement changes is production activities that can be found in Purbayan and Prenggan Village. With the low significant impact results on settlement changes, It is hoped that the silver production activities (home-based industry) have the potential to be promoted as part of the survivability concept of tourism in Kotagede by advancing SMEs itself.

The present study focused on the development of a compact living concept that is applied in commercial facilities, especially shipping container-booth. This study aimed to investigate the organization of container booths in Solo area from interior design perspectives, including its visual aesthetics, visual brand identity, and space function and organization of the container booth. The result of the study may depict the advantages of container booths, compared to conventional street food carts. This study was expected to provide adequate data to establish a new revenue-generating unit. To this end, a qualitative descriptive method was applied to obtain in-depth data related to the exterior and interior aspects of the booth. This study showed that container booth holds some advantages related to visual aesthetic aspects since it could be easily added with aesthetic elements for promotion media.  Container booth also allows a division of area that supports the seller's activity.
